Geng Tie, the squad leader in charge of the training camp, was 27 or 28 years old, over 1.8 meters tall, not fat, but very sturdy and strong.
Mu Nanfang put his things away and took his place!
"Attention! At ease! Attention!"
Captain Geng's authoritative voice rang out, and the soldiers below obeyed his orders.
"From this moment on, you must regard yourselves as soldiers and strictly demand of yourselves."
Is it possible to complete training tasks with high quality and quantity every day?
"able."
The soldiers answered fairly uniformly, and there was a hint of excitement in their voices.
"Speak louder, can you do that?"
"Yes, yes, yes!"
This time they were in high spirits, shouting until their faces turned red and their necks bulged.
Because it's winter, there are relatively fewer outdoor training programs.
This training team has thirty members, and Gu Xuanyu and his four companions are non-staff members.
The other soldiers are this year's new recruits, selected for intensive training to see if there are any promising talents, so as to add fresh blood to the special forces brigade.
These thirty people do not belong to the special forces brigade; otherwise, Liu Jiu and the others would not have had the opportunity to train with them, as they are not at the same level.
Once the team was assembled, the first event was a 3,000-meter run. Captain Geng gave the whistle, and the soldiers set off.
In general recruit training, a 3,000-meter run in 14 minutes and 30 seconds is considered passing, and running it in under 12 minutes is considered excellent. Special forces units are even stricter.
Running is easy for Liu Jiu; she runs three kilometers every day and has gotten used to it.
Sanqi's speed can't keep up with Liujiu's, but his endurance is good. Gu Xuanyi has also been doing morning exercises for a while now. Although Gu Xuanyu is the oldest, he hasn't been exercising much since starting university, and he's finding it a bit difficult to keep up.
Mu Nanfang also frequently runs the 3,000 meters, but he is not as persistent as Liu Jiu.
Among the new recruits, individual qualities differ, and a clear gap emerges after the kilometer mark.
Right now, the recruits running in the lead are quite fast and show no signs of fatigue. The second-place recruit is clearly not as relaxed as the first-place recruit. Liu Jiu is in third place, and she is controlling the pace.
Mu Nanfang didn't expect the little black girl to be so amazing, making it into the top three. As for himself, it seems he didn't even make it into the top ten.
Round and round they went, under the cold northern air, the breath they exhaled turned their eyebrows and hair white.
On the final lap, everyone started sprinting. Liu Jiu finished second with a time of 13 minutes and 12 seconds, while the first place finisher finished with a time of 12 minutes and 40 seconds.
At Captain Geng's whistle, those who hadn't yet completed their tasks quickened their pace.
Sanqi didn't run fast, but she ran quite easily throughout the entire run, while Gu Xuanyu and Gu Xuanyi were a bit out of breath.
Although Mu Nanfang doesn't often do morning exercises, the 3,000-meter run and the 400-meter obstacle course are events he frequently runs. He finished with a time of 14.22 seconds.
Those who had finished running were warming up, while the others were nearing the end.
Finally, Captain Geng didn't comment on the teams; this was just an appetizer, and there were many more projects to come.
After running the 3,000 meters, there is a 400-meter obstacle course, which is familiar to the children in the compound, who have been running it since they were little.
The outdoor activities have come to a temporary end, and the team has moved into the indoor training hall.
"Rest for ten minutes to adjust."
As soon as Captain Geng finished speaking, the soldiers breathed a sigh of relief. After running through this series of events, their legs felt like they didn't belong to them anymore.
Mu Nanfang was waiting for the captain to call for a break so he could go and greet the little black girl and get to know her.
"Six Nine, I am Mu Nanfang. Do you remember the time we sparred?"
Liu Jiu glanced at the boy standing in front of her. He was about 1.7 meters tall and quite muscular.
"Gu Yun Chu, that's my name."
Liu Jiu doesn't really like strangers calling her by her nickname anymore.
"Gu Yun Chu, may I spar with you sometime in the future?"
"Can."
Liu Jiu knew that the boy in front of him was just as strong as himself. He was only able to defeat him last time because he was strong.
"Then it's settled. I'll come find you after the training camp is over. By the way, are you and Han Bei from the same compound?"
Mu Nanfang is currently in a slightly excited state. He enjoys sparring, but few of his friends can match him.
Even if they were evenly matched, some people would still be mindful of his father Mu's status as commander and wouldn't be able to fight him with all their might, which would be pointless.
Over time, he lost interest in sparring with them; it wasn't fun anymore.
During their last sparring session with Gu Yun Chu, both of them were fully committed and held back in the slightest.
So even though he lost, he was happy, finally finding a worthy opponent.
Mu Nanfang's mind raced, various past events impacting his brain, cerebellum, and brainstem.
A whistle blew, and the break was over.
Captain Geng started organizing the team for training again, and this time the exercise was push-ups.
Liu Jiu and Mu Nanfang did it with ease, and Gu Xuanyu was also good; he had been practicing since he was a child.
The two younger ones didn't adapt well. Sanqi was young and didn't do many push-ups.
Gu Xuanyi was lazy before, and he only started exercising in the mornings in the last six months; he hadn't really participated in training before that.
Why are you sticking your butt out so high?
Captain Geng's voice arrived, and so did his foot. Gu Xuanyi felt the weight on his buttocks. His face turned red; it wasn't very harmful, but extremely humiliating!
Sanqi noticed the foot on Xuanyi's buttock out of the corner of his eye, and he became extremely vigilant, determined not to attract the captain's attention.
After a morning of training, everyone felt like their limbs were out of control, as if their souls had left their bodies.
"After lunch, take a one-hour break, and make sure your living quarters are in good order."
