Chapter 387 Bonnie's Parents Arrive

Lin Tao was startled when he received a call from his older brother yesterday. It was so sudden that he left work early today to come and confirm with Bao Ni.

"No need, my parents are staying with me."

“Your place is bigger than mine, but there are more people in your place, so it’s not very spacious.”

Lin Tao knew that housing conditions in Beijing were like this, and it couldn't compare to his family's thatched-roof house; it was too cramped.

“It’s alright. We don’t need to stay in the compound. I’ll have my parents move to a traditional courtyard house. It’s spacious there and has a vegetable garden, so it’s convenient for them to go for walks.”

"What courtyard house? Your family even owns a courtyard house?"

Having worked and lived in Beijing for so many years, Lin Tao certainly knows what a courtyard house is.

"It was left to him by Gu Ye's mother. We cleaned it up after we came back this time."

Bonnie hadn't mentioned it to her second brother, so his surprise was understandable.

"Ah! That's fine too. We won't have to climb the stairs anymore. Grandpa and Grandma will like it even more. I'll go with you to pick them up from the station the day after tomorrow."

"Okay, Gu Ye will drive there."

Bonnie didn't care; her second brother went to pick up his parents, and she didn't stop him.

After discussing picking her up from the station, Bonnie went home; she still had to prepare dinner. Although she didn't know how to cook, she still needed to prepare the dishes and steam the buns.

Bonnie counted on her fingers, and finally the day her parents were going to arrive arrived.

Bonnie took leave in advance. Today is Thursday, and Bonnie has taken three days off in a row. She will go back to work next Monday, so she can stay home with her parents for four days. That's great.

Gu Ye drove back just in time; he had taken half a day off and didn't need to go in the afternoon.

Just as Bonnie and the others were about to leave, Lin Tao and Hao Mei arrived with their youngest son.

"Second brother, you should take the bus back yourself. The jeep can't fit so many people."

Bonnie was surprised that her second brother and sister-in-law had come over, along with their child.

"Okay, I understand."

Lin Tao hasn't been assigned a car yet, and he applied for one too late; the car wasn't even available then.

Hao Mei felt uncomfortable, but didn't say anything.

When we arrived at the station, the train hadn't arrived yet; it looked like it would be delayed again.
