The next day, after breakfast, Bonnie got dressed and, seeing that it was almost time, went to the gate to meet Zhou Weihong and the others.
Bonnie went by herself today; Gu Ye wanted to meet with Han Ye and the others to discuss some work-related matters.
"Baoni, over here." Zhou Weihong arrived first and waved to Baoni at the gate.
"Sister Wei Hong, you're here really early."

Bonnie knew she was fortunate to have met Gu Ye. Without Gu Ye, where would Bonnie have gotten to know so many energetic young women?
But then again, husband and wife are one, sharing both glory and misfortune. Bonnie felt no guilt whatsoever about benefiting from Gu Ye's success; on the contrary, she felt honored.
The four women planned their route and set off, determined to go on a shopping spree today.
The group went to the supply and marketing cooperative first. Among the defective products in the cooperative, Bonnie picked out the most commonly used rain boots, liberation shoes, flashlights, gloves and so on. These were necessities for life and work, and they were cheap without coupons. Bonnie picked out the largest quantities of each item.
After leaving the supply and marketing cooperative, I first went to the nearby post office to mail the item. Then I went to the department store, which had a wider variety of defective goods than the supply and marketing cooperative.
Bonnie also selected a bunch of items that she could use in her daily life, packed them up, and mailed them all in one go.
Finally, we arrived at the cotton mill, and their warehouse was full of defective fabrics!
Bonnie mostly chose cotton fabrics in darker colors, but also selected a few floral prints and brighter colors.
In her memory, Bonnie recalled how difficult it was for the girls on the island to get a brightly colored dress for their wedding. Most of the time, a wedding dress was lent out many times, and many brides wore it.
Wu Fang's aunt also recommended a durable and sturdy fabric to Bao Ni. This fabric is not as comfortable as cotton, but it is very strong and durable.
Bonnie took the advice of the professionals and bought quite a lot of this fabric. After thanking Wu Fang's aunt, the four women carried a lot of fabric to the post office to mail it.
Fortunately, Sister Wei Hong knew someone at the post office; otherwise, Bao Ni's large volume of mailed household items, even though they were defective, would have caused considerable trouble and could easily have been misunderstood as speculation.
To thank the young ladies, Bonnie generously treated them to roast duck, and also treated herself to some meat.
The four women ate three roast ducks and some side dishes at the roast duck restaurant. Their stomachs were so full that they could hardly walk.
Bonnie had a great haul, and Gu Ye was doing just as well.
This gathering consisted of five people: Gu Ye, Han Ye, Li Hongjun, Bai Chaoyang, and Deng Bing.
"Gu Ye, what's the environment like on the island?"
"What, you want to be transferred to an island?" Gu Ye looked at Bai Chaoyang with confusion, not understanding what he meant by asking this question.
"That's possible. You've probably heard about it. The situation is a bit... You know about Zhao Yuan's family situation. I'm thinking of getting out of here beforehand."
