Gu Yemei, my wife, the children are so caring, it's all worth it no matter how tired he is.
Gu Ye had a few days off, and Bao Ni told him to stay home and rest, and not to go anywhere. Gu Ye had originally planned for the four of them to go on a two-day trip, but Bao Ni rejected the idea.
"On a hot day like this, I should stay home and rest. I don't know when I'll be busy again."
"Yes, we don't want to go out either. We still need to go to the Children's Palace to learn things."
Sanqi echoed his mother's words, not wanting his father to cause trouble.
Gu Ye went along with his wife and children's good intentions and spent his days leisurely at home, being fed by his wife. In just a couple of days, his complexion improved.
"Is Lin Baoni there? There's a letter for you."
Not long after finishing breakfast, Bonnie heard someone calling her from outside the door.
Bonnie wiped her hands, went outside to take a look, and saw it was the postman.
"My letter?"
Bonnie thought that she was probably a little excited because she had received a reply to her submission.
"Lin Baoni's."
The postman handed over a rather thick envelope, which Bonnie signed and took back.
"Wife, whose letter is this? Your father-in-law's?"
Gu Ye felt quite guilty for not being able to come back to see his father-in-law and the others off.
"No, it's from the newspaper. I submitted an article before, but I don't know the result."
As Bonnie spoke, she had already opened it. Inside were a letter, a newspaper, and a money order.
"Gu Ye, my manuscript has been accepted and a sample copy has been sent to you!"
Bonnie quickly glanced at the letter; her novel was being serialized in the newspaper.
"Really, my wife is amazing, let me see."
Gu Ye took the newspaper, found the novel his wife had mentioned, in the supplement, with the words clearly printed on the page. Gu Ye was happy for Bao Ni, and hugged her and spun her around several times. Their laughter echoed in the yard.
