Lan Hua used to frequently bring her child there, hoping to cultivate a few playmates and friends for the child from a young age, so they could look after each other in the future. Bonnie isn't worried about her child's social skills; she's fine with it.
"What, we have to grow vegetables too?"

Bonnie looked and saw that the east side of her house had a wing room, and there was no gap between the wing room and the courtyard wall. However, there was enough space at the back, where the previous owner had built a small garden, enclosing a fairly large yard.
The walls of their residential compound were very high, which made Bonnie feel very safe. She planned to plant vegetables in the backyard and also wanted to plant a few fruit trees. Flowers were out of the question; she didn't know how to grow them and didn't like them. Growing vegetables was more practical.
“Bonnie, didn’t you see that everyone’s yard has flowers or bonsai? Anyway, I didn’t see anyone growing vegetables. Especially the Commander’s yard, there are so many kinds of flowers. Many people’s flowers are from seeds or cuttings transplanted from her yard.”
