The six girls have a very strong sense of time, and they clearly arrange their training time, study time, and housework time.
So after Liu Jiu and the other two left, Ma Zijun and the others discussed it for a long time.
"They're leaving already? We still don't know what their strength is."
Xu Yi was a little surprised. Why was he home so early?
"Have you forgotten that you have exams coming up soon? Are you confident you can get into high school? I've heard that the Gu family's kids are exceptionally good at English. How are their grades?"
Lan Shengli knew about the previous incident, about diplomats teaching English.
"Well, I should have no problem getting into high school. Gu Yun Chu and Gu Xuan Yi should be among the top students in our grade, but I haven't paid much attention to them before, so I don't know much about them."
Xu Yi actually knew that they were both children of high-ranking officials and in the same academic year. Even though they didn't usually interact, he had paid attention to Gu Yun Chu after she became famous overnight, but they had never actually met.
"Come on, if you hadn't been paying attention, how would you know their names? You're the epitome of saying one thing and meaning another."
Ma Zijun quipped to him, "He can accurately call out people's names, yet he claims he doesn't follow them. He's trying to fool a fool!"
Xu Yi really wanted to say, "I'm not lying to fools, I'm just kidding you guys." Unfortunately, he didn't have the guts to say it.
Among the children of similar age, the reason why Ma Zijun was the leader was not only because Ma Zijun's grandfather was a commander, but more so because Ma Zijun's performance in all assessments was better than theirs.
In shooting, the 3,000-meter run, the 400-meter obstacle course, military boxing, and free fighting, we are better than them, and in some events, we are far ahead.
"Alright, I'm going home to study too. Putting everything else aside, English is really annoying. Just a few broken letters, put together, with no meaning at all. One word can represent multiple meanings, it's so frustrating."
Xu Yi muttered to himself as he walked home. "Really, why do Chinese people have to take English exams? I just don't understand."
"Shengli, what do you think of the Gu family girl's abilities?"
Ma Zijun observed for a long time, but he still wasn't sure. Looking at the two boys from the Gu family, they seemed to have a decent foundation, but their lower body was unstable.
"I didn't notice anything else, but that girl has a really good attitude. We've been watching her for so long, but she didn't seem to care at all. She just kept doing what she was supposed to do without getting distracted."
The two didn't say much; it was getting late, and they needed to go home to study.
After washing up, Gu Jia, Liu Jiu, and the others gathered in the study, talking about the people from earlier.
"So, what did you two find out?"
How could Liu Jiu not see those people staring at her? But as newcomers, they couldn't act rashly; knowing themselves and their enemies was crucial to deciding their next move.
"You underestimate me. Even if those people weren't famous, I could still find out about them."
The tallest one is Ma Zijun, Commander Ma's grandson, a high school freshman. He is said to be a good student and has excellent military skills, making him a leader among his peers in the compound.
The thinnest one is Lan Shengli. His father is Commander Lan, and he's also a first-year high school student, born late in life. His cousin and second aunt are colleagues; they work in the library, managing the room with the first-year students.
The remaining one is Xu Yi, he's in the same grade as us, Class 3, and his grandfather is Political Commissar Xu.
Gu Xuanyi spun around with the basketball, gathering all the information he needed.
“They also have several children from those families, both boys and girls, and I saw a few of them who looked familiar.”
Sanqi's trip wasn't in vain; he learned quite a bit of information.
"I understand. We've just arrived at this compound and don't know anything about it yet. Once we get a general idea, we'll know how to get along in the future. If we can get along, great; if not, let's keep to ourselves and go our separate ways."
Liu Jiu felt that their main focus now was on studying and exercising, and everything else should take a backseat. People can't live without friends, but she couldn't accept the idea of pandering to certain people and things just for the sake of connections or friends.
"That's what we think too. The exams are in about two months. Let's get into high school first, and then we'll think about the rest."
Gu Xuanyi didn't feel lonely being with Liu Jiu Sanqi, nor did he feel the need to make new friends.
"Study some more and then go to sleep. Getting enough sleep is also very important."
Liu Jiu was the first to get up and leave the study, and Xuan Yi and San Qi also returned to their own rooms. Now that they no longer lived together, they occasionally felt a little unaccustomed to it.
Bonnie and Gu Ye didn't let the children research things on their own; they just kept the general direction in mind, and the children had to think and judge for themselves about other things.
The next day, Gu Ye got up to make breakfast, and the children went for their morning exercise. Bonnie slept in a little longer before getting up as well.
"Gu Ye, is there any progress on the domestic helper issue?"
"I've already spoken to the logistics staff, and they'll keep an eye out for potential suppliers. If that doesn't work, we'll have to find them ourselves. The main reason is that the suppliers they find are generally safer."
Gu Ye was also anxious. He couldn't go home to cook dinner very often these days because he had too many chores to do. If this continued, it would take up a lot of Sanqi's time and interfere with the child's studies.
"The main problem is that you cook at home in the morning, which interferes with your morning exercise. I'm worried that you'll develop a big belly over time."
Bonnie glanced at her brother, who was wearing a vest and had a very fit body with smooth muscle lines. She could see obvious eight-pack abs between his waist and abdomen.
"No, I also participate in training in the army. I have to keep myself in top condition, not for anything else, but also for my wife's happiness, right?"
Gu Ye looked at Bao Ni with a smile in his eyes, noticing that her face had turned noticeably red; she was truly adorable.
