"Commander Gu, is your child in the second year of junior high school too?"
Gu Ye heard someone call him, turned around and saw Deputy Brigade Commander Xu. They had met before, but had never been on a mission together.
"Commander Xu's child is also in the second year of junior high school. Which class is he in?"
"Class 3, which class is Commander Gu's child in? How are his studies? If my brat doesn't work hard, I'm afraid he won't get into high school."
Deputy Brigade Commander Xu is Xu Yi's father. He and Gu Ye were talking as they walked inside, and they were quite chatty.

Gu Ye and Brigade Commander Xu both picked up the report cards on the table. Looking down, the third one was his daughter, Gu Yun Chu, who was only one point behind the second-place finisher. Impressive, his daughter! The fifth one was Gu Xuan Yi, who was three points behind Liu Jiu, also very good.
Commander Xu looked down at the list of about two hundred people. The top one hundred were listed on a single sheet of paper, their names rather small. When he was almost halfway through, he saw Xu Yi's name, number forty-fifth.
Commander Xu was furious. What were this kid's grades? Could he even get into high school?
Turning to look at Commander Gu, who had a smile on his face, he knew the test had gone well.
"Commander Gu, how are your child's grades?"
"One third, one fifth."
Gu Ye pointed to the names on the report card and showed them to Commander Xu, his smile barely concealed.
"You have twins? That's amazing!"
Commander Xu looked at Gu Yun Chu, who was in third place, and Gu Xuan Yi, who was in fifth place. Their results were really good.
"No, Gu Xuanyi is my older brother's child, and Gu Yunchu is my daughter."
Gu Ye was in a good mood and was willing to say a few more words.
Before Commander Xu could say anything, everyone on the stage had arrived, and the parents' meeting was about to begin.
