"Second brother, please help me apply some medicine."
After taking a shower, Mu Nanfang came out of the bathroom and called his second brother for help. His eldest brother hadn't returned yet, and his sister-in-law was pregnant. The two of them had been staying at his sister-in-law's parents' house for the past few days, and his sister-in-law wanted to eat her mother's cooking.
"What happened to you? Your older brother gave you extra training again. That can't be right, he doesn't have time for you right now!"
Mu Beifang noticed that Nanfang had several bruises on his body. He wondered who he had trained with.
"I practiced with people from other compounds. Please help me massage it in, otherwise it will hurt even more tomorrow."
"Nanfang, who did you train with this time? It wasn't that little girl from before, was it?"
Mu Beifang thought it was very likely. His Mu Nanfang had never been beaten by anyone in his life except for that little girl from a few years ago.

After applying the medicated wine, Mu Nanfang felt much better. He needed to recover, as they had a sparring match next weekend. Was it easy for him?
Mu Nanfang, who had been sleeping soundly, was now asleep. Mu Beifang, driven by curiosity, was trying to find someone to extract information from. Liu Jiu, who knew nothing, started to play and studied for a while before falling into a deep sleep.
Nothing major was happening in Beijing; life went on as usual. But things were bustling at Uncle Lin's house on the island. Lin Nan's wedding date had been set, and there was a lot to prepare.
"Zhiqiang, have you completed all the paperwork for your restaurant? Have all three of you changed jobs?"
Bonnie's parents came to help, and only after they left did she have a chance to ask about the specifics.
"Big brother, everything's settled. Lin Nan and I sold our jobs to the manager; he wants the positions and I'll pay him. Ding Xiang's job was found for her by her family; she's going to Beijing with us, and her job was sold to a relative."
Uncle Bonnie thought that since he had already decided to go to Beijing, he should do it cleanly and leave no way out. His wife said that if all else failed, they could always come back to farming. The house and land were still there; they were their roots.
"Once you've made up your mind, just listen to Gu Ye and Bao Ni's opinions when you get there. They know a lot of people there, which can help you avoid some unnecessary trouble and prevent you from being taken advantage of."
Bonnie's father looked at his youngest brother, who was only a little over ten years older than his eldest son. Now, he actually dared to venture into Beijing, which was not bad.

The two brothers sat together and talked about many things from the past. It was a rare opportunity to have time together. Over the years, because they worked at Sihaiju, they really didn't have much time to sit down and chat about everyday things.
Inside the house, Bao Ni's mother was helping Bao Ni's aunt sew a quilt. As a woman of good fortune, Bao Ni's mother always helped others sew quilts.

Bao Ni's mother was an experienced woman; she had three sons and four daughters-in-law. She didn't consider herself a bad mother-in-law, but apart from Lin Bo's wife, who was close to her, the others were just so-so.
Let's not talk about the eldest son; the one who came later just kept to herself and didn't say much. The second son's wife had some peculiar ideas, and they didn't have much to say to her either. The remaining daughter-in-law was alright; she said what she thought and didn't keep everything to herself.
“I know that Dingxiang just got married and has to leave her hometown to go to such a far place with us. Her parents are worried. I don’t have a daughter, so I put myself in her shoes. I treat her well, and she can feel it.”
Aunt Bao Ni herself has been mistreated by her mother-in-law, so how could she possibly mistreat her daughter-in-law? When her family inquired, they knew her mother-in-law treated her well, which put their minds at ease.
