Chapter 47 Shepherd's Purse Dumplings

"Yes, this is the first time I've ever seen a woman riding a bicycle like this."

The gossiping sisters-in-law were envious and jealous; they couldn't even ride a bike properly with both hands on the handlebars!

"What's in the basin at the Gu family's house? The fragrance is so strong you can smell it as soon as you walk by!"

"It smells like scrambled eggs. Grandma Lin Baoni's cooking skills are famous throughout our compound. It's so good to have such a family!"

Bonnie was kneading dough inside, oblivious to her sister-in-law's envy and jealousy outside. She was going to splurge today, using only high-gluten flour to make dumplings—pure white flour dumplings would be a waste of the filling.

Bonnie found a perfect excuse for her craving.

As the sun set, Gu Ye and his companions disembarked under a sky full of stars, preparing to go home.

The warm orange light shone through the windowpane, illuminating a small area beneath it. Gu Ye felt that marrying Bao Ni was wonderful, and coming home was wonderful!

"You're back! Hurry up and wash up, I'll go cook dumplings."

Bonnie pushed open the door and ran towards the kitchen while talking.

Before long, Gu Ye heard the sound of a bellows being pulled from the kitchen, as well as the bubbling sound of boiling water.

"What kind of dumplings are they? They smell so good!"

Gu Ye still had water droplets on his head when he walked out.

"Quickly dry the water off your head, otherwise you'll be splashing water everywhere, looking like a little duck."

Are there any ducklings as big as me?

Gu Ye still took the towel and carefully dried the water droplets from his hair.

"Try it, these dumplings with shepherd's purse and egg filling, made by Grandma."

"Mmm...delicious, so fresh, this is the taste of spring."

The dumplings were so hot from the pot that Gu Ye breathed on them while praising them.

"Is it delicious? Eat more. I packed a lot, so there's plenty for you."

The two of them started picking up dumplings one by one, eating with such relish that they didn't have time to talk.

"It feels so good!"

"Drink a bowl of dumpling soup, and the original soup will help digest the original food."

Bonnie brought over two bowls of dumpling soup, handed one to Gu Ye, and drank it herself while blowing on it.

The light bulb flickered twice, and it was almost time to turn off the lights. Gu Ye and Bao Ni sped up; they wouldn't be able to see anything soon.
