Sanqi muttered something when he thought of his parents' overly affectionate way of being together.
"Who was adopted, you?"
Xuan Yi came in carrying his guitar, listened to the end of the song, and subconsciously asked a question.
"He wasn't adopted; he just wanted some relief."
Liu Jiu and Mu Nanfang followed Xuan Yi in, wondering what Gu Sanqi had done wrong this time.
"Oh dear, I can't communicate with you guys."
Sanqi went upstairs in a huff. "What kind of people are these? They don't listen to what I say and they like to threaten me."
"You've come from the south! Come in quickly. There's some watermelon that Aunt Xiang soaked in the kitchen. I'll cut it for you. It's so hot, and you're still sparring with Liu Jiu. You must be very tired."
Bonnie looked at the two of them, their faces covered in sweat, and she understood everything.
"Thank you, Aunt Gu!"
Mu Nanfang is increasingly treating himself like an outsider; he's practically become an unofficial member at the Gu family dinner table.

Liu Jiu looked at Gu Xuanyi, who was constantly scrutinizing her and Mu Nanfang, and found it all very strange.
"Liu Jiu, how old are you this year?"
"Are you suffering from heatstroke? How old am I? I'm a year younger than you. You're saying I'm much older?"
Liu Jiu stood up, pressed Gu Xuanyi down, and touched his forehead. "You don't have a fever?"
Gu Xuanyi looked at the clueless Liu Jiu, a sixteen-year-old girl who had no hobbies other than sparring.
He turned his gaze to Mu Nanfang, who was older than him.
"What's wrong? Don't you recognize me all of a sudden?"
Mu Nanfang remained calm; he couldn't afford to show any weakness.
"The watermelon is cut up. Are you two going to eat it or not? What are you doing, staring at each other like that, trying to read each other's faces?"
Liu Jiu stood at the kitchen doorway, looking at the two strange-looking people, and shouted.
"Here you are, I was just thirsty."
Mu Nanfang bypassed Gu Xuanyi and went into the kitchen.
"There's something wrong, there must be something wrong..."
Gu Xuanyi muttered to himself, trusting his intuition.
