What the Mu family thinks is unimportant; Liu Jiu believes Mu Nanfang is the key.
Liu Jiu has never really witnessed much of a mother-in-law/daughter-in-law relationship in her life. Her grandmother passed away early, and her mother never even met her mother-in-law. As for that other woman, she wasn't even a proper elder.
What Liu Jiu observed most was the harmonious relationship between her maternal uncle's wife and mother-in-law.
As for Mu Nanfang's mother, Liu Jiu hadn't thought about it; perhaps she wasn't even aware of it yet. Never mind, she wasn't even sure if Mu Nanfang would pass her father's test tomorrow, but she firmly believed one thing: her father loved her.
In the bedroom downstairs, Gu Ye was writing furiously.
"What are you doing up so late at night?"
Bonnie had just finished washing up and was applying face cream to her hands. She's getting old; her skin isn't smooth anymore.
"I'll write a plan and see that kid surnamed Mu tomorrow morning. He's so young, yet he doesn't study hard and strive for excellence. Instead, he's already eyeing my daughter. It makes me so angry."
Gu Ye felt uncomfortable. His daughter was so young, why was she already thinking about such adult matters? Back then, he was already twenty-five or twenty-six when he met his Bao Ni.
"That's good enough. Mu Nanfang is quite outstanding, and most importantly, Liu Jiu likes him. Our Liu Jiu is focused on training and airplanes, so we should be happy to have a childhood sweetheart like him. Are we really going to wait until we're older and have the organization arrange blind dates for us? By then, the chances of meeting someone we like will be too low."
Bonnie understood Gu Ye's feelings; he cherished their little family. For him, everything had been hard-won. His wife and children were truly God's greatest blessing upon him.
"I understand, but I'm a little uneasy. I hadn't thought about it before, and I don't know much about the Mu family's young man. Tomorrow morning, I must find out about him in my own way, otherwise, I won't feel at ease."
Gu Ye understood that Mu Nanfang was a good choice for Liu Jiu. However, he wasn't comfortable without personally vetting and investigating him.
"Okay, that's your right, but don't make it public knowledge. After all, both children are still young, especially our Liu Jiu, who is a military academy student."
"I know I won't act impulsively."
Gu Ye knew what was going on. Whether things would work out in the future was another matter, but as long as they could get along peacefully, no one wanted to make enemies.
It was late at night, and Gu Ye and Bao Ni were getting ready to go to sleep, as they had to get up early for their morning exercise the next day.
In the morning, Gu Ye got ready and was full of energy as he set off.
"Sis, do you think Brother Nanfang can withstand Dad's test?"
Sanqi was still shaken. He was worried that he might meet a father-in-law like his father in the future. His small body wouldn't be able to withstand that!
“Sanqi, your worries are unnecessary. Who is Mu Nanfang? How could he not have thought that this day would come sooner or later? He must have made ample preparations. Passing the test will not be a problem.”
Gu Xuanyi felt that Sanqi didn't understand Mu Nanfang at all; he was much more cunning than Liujiu. From now on, they would definitely keep a close eye on him and help Liujiu keep an eye on him, making sure Liujiu didn't suffer any losses.
"You two are just bored. Do you think Dad doesn't know what he's doing? You two should take a good look at this later and learn from his experience. You might be able to use it in the future."
Liu Jiu quickly caught up with his father. These two are sometimes quite childish.
Mu Nanfang had already arrived at the training field, accompanied by Mu Beifang. To put it nicely, he was there to cheer him on; to be realistic, his second brother was just there to watch the show.
"Good morning, Uncle Gu!"
When Mu Nanfang saw the person in question arrive, he quickly went over to greet him.

Liu Jiu was truly thinking of them both; she had no selfish motives.
"Understood, we'll prepare right away."

Mu Beifang doesn't want to run 3,000 meters; he'll ruin his life.
"Second Brother Mu, I heard from Mu Nanfang that you are a very capable researcher who will contribute to the country's aerospace industry in the future. How can you not be in good physical condition? Let's get moving together."
Liu Jiu looked at Mu Beifang with a serious expression. Mu Beifang felt that if he refused, he would never be able to hold his head up again.
