Fifteen-year-old Mu Jiaojiao was the youngest daughter in her family. She was spoiled by her parents and raised to be a little too naive and silly.
"Sister Yun Chu, can you really beat my brother down? Let me tell you, my brother has the sharpest tongue. He's made countless girls cry since he was little. Even my mom says he'll never be able to find a wife."
Mu Jiaojiao held Liu Jiu's hand and chattered all the way. Liu Jiu felt once again that this child's mind was truly extraordinary.
She speaks quickly and incoherently, jumping from one topic to another, making it difficult for Liu Jiu to follow her train of thought. One second she's saying her second brother is cunning, the next she's saying her younger brother is scaring her.
"Liu Jiu, why did it take you so long to go to the toilet?"
Bonnie and Sister Xiang bought down jackets and waited for ages, even buying all the candy, but Liu Jiu still hadn't returned. Bonnie was even considering going to the toilet to retrieve him, to see if he'd fallen in.
"Something came up and I was a little delayed. Have you all finished shopping?"
Liu Jiu didn't elaborate, but she really didn't like shopping malls; they were so crowded, what was the point?
"I've finished shopping, and I also bought you a cotton-padded coat. You thought the down jacket was too hot, so this cotton-padded coat can't be too hot. I picked out a color and style that you like, something simple and elegant."
Bonnie knows her daughter well; she really doesn't like buying or trying on clothes, and she doesn't even like to stroll around like Sanqi and Xuanyi.
"Hello Auntie, are you Yun Chu's mother?"
Liu Jiu was talking to her mother and completely forgot about Mu Jiaojiao's existence.
"Yes, who are you?"
"I am Mu Jiaojiao, and Mu Nanfang is my younger brother. Auntie, you are so beautiful and young. You look much younger than my mother."
Mu Jiaojiao took a liking to Yun Chu's mother at first sight; she looked very capable, and she didn't know why, but she just had that feeling.
"A sister from the South? How did you two end up together?"
Bonnie found it strange that she went to the restroom and brought back a little girl.
"Let's go home first, we'll talk about it later."
Liu Jiu watched as more and more people, carrying their things, walked towards the bus stop. She was afraid that Mu Jiaojiao would start babbling again soon; she was just too talkative.
"Oh, we've finally arrived. There are so many people, it feels like we're all going to be squeezed into meat patties."
Sister Xiang really envied Bonnie and Liu Jiu's stamina. You don't know until you compare them, and the difference is astonishing.
"We've bought everything, so we don't need to go before the New Year. We can just buy whatever we need at the local market."
Bonnie was still shaken; there were so many people, she felt like she could hear the heartbeats of the people behind her.
"Mu Jiaojiao, your Air Force compound is over there. You've gone too far."
"Sister Yun Chu, can I come to your house? My mom isn't home, she went to visit some neighbors and won't be back until tomorrow. My sister-in-law also went back to her parents' house. I'm not going anywhere by myself."
Mu Jiaojiao stared at Liu Jiu with her big eyes, then glanced at Bao Ni from time to time.
"Let's go, play for a while, then call Nanfang and ask him to come pick us up."
Bonnie thought this child was quite interesting, the complete opposite of her own child, Liu Jiu.
"Thank you, Auntie. You are beautiful inside and out."
"You have a sweet tongue. Come on, Aunt Xiang has some delicious food at home."
With a wave of her hand, Bao Ni took the opportunity to climb the mountain, holding Bao Ni's hand tightly and refusing to let go.
“Auntie, I know Aunt Xiang’s cooking is delicious. My brother always says your food is good when he goes home, and I ask him to bring me some, but he always forgets. I think my brother is petty. He thinks I’m a big problem and always criticizes me. It’s scary.”
Liu Jiu thought to herself, "Here we go again, here we go again, this chatter never ends."
Along the way, everyone was quite curious about whose little girl Bonnie was holding.
"Mom, you're back! What clothes did you buy?"
Sanqi and Gu Xuanyi stood up from the sofa and took the things.
"Mu Jiaojiao, why are you with my mom and the others?"
Sanqi recognized her; this was Nanfang's sister.
"Hello, little brother Sanqi. I ran into some bad guys, but sister Yun Chu helped me drive them away. They were so amazing! I didn't even see what happened before the guy suddenly stopped moving and started screaming."
Mu Jiaojiao had been holding it in for a long time, and now she could finally talk about what happened today.
Instantly, Mu Jiaojiao's voice rang out in the Gu family's living room. She was quite impressive; she had memorized the conversation of several people and acted out each role perfectly, with her expressions, movements, and tone all spot-on.
"This child has a good memory; he'll do well in acting in the future."
Bonnie spoke candidly about her feelings, which was really good. She learned clearly and her tone was very precise.
"Mu Jiaojiao, is this the kind of friend you've made? Isn't she just taking advantage of you?"
Sanqi glanced at him; he was good-looking and clearly a member of the Mu family, but his brain was just terribly lacking.
I haven't met Brother Mu, but he's an excellent air force pilot, so he can't be too bad.
Brother Mu and Brother Nanfang are both very shrewd, especially Brother Mu, who always likes to set traps for people with his words; he's too cunning.
"Really? I thought Guan Xue liked me. She played with me and liked listening to me talk. My family all said I was a chatterbox, too talkative, and never got to the point. But Guan Xue would listen to me attentively and even think I was right."
Mu Jiaojiao was a little confused, not knowing what she had done wrong.
"Mu Jiaojiao, there's only one nanny at your house. She said she'll let you know when your family comes back and then come pick you up. You can play here for now."
Sanqi, if you're not busy, play with her for a while. I'm still a little short on my plans for today. I'll relieve you when I'm done.
After giving her instructions, Liu Jiu went upstairs; her plan for the day was still a little short.
