Chapter 68 Gu Family Dinner



The meal was quite eventful; it's unclear whether the others ate their fill, but Gu Ye's family of three certainly ate their fill. Nothing could diminish their dedication to eating; they couldn't waste food, as it was hard-earned.

Although Liu Jiu is only two years old, typhoons frequently hit the island, and the vegetables in Bonnie's yard are often uprooted. So Liu Jiu has been taught since she was little not to waste food.

After finishing the last grain of rice in her bowl, Liu Jiu put down her spoon and said, "Mom, I'm full."

Bonnie lifted Liu Jiu down so she could get out of bed and move around to help with digestion.

"Sister Liu Jiu, wait for me, I'm full too." Gu Xuanyi saw that Liu Jiu had finished eating, and he was anxious. He stuffed the last bite of rice in his bowl into his mouth and was about to get down.

The Gu family all know that it will be difficult to get together again after Gu Lan gets married. Grandpa Gu has gone to a retirement home, and the family house will be returned. From now on, they will really live their own lives.
