This was Bonnie's first direct experience of a shipwreck, her ears filled with the cries of young women and the desperate curses of old people. Another victim was the newly appointed captain of the second team, a man in his fifties; his elderly mother had fainted from grief.
Bonnie didn't know what to do. The injured were taken away, and people were sent to search for the missing.
"Zhu Zi, wake up, wake up! You can't abandon us, mother and son. You promised to be good to me for the rest of your life, to take good care of me. You can't go back on your word."
"Zhu Zi, how could you abandon the old and the young? How are you going to let me, your father, your wife, and your children live?"
Bonnie couldn't take it anymore and ran back in a panic; she really couldn't stand it.
"how's it going?"
Grandma and her mother asked anxiously, "Baby's father and brother haven't come back either."
"Two didn't make it, three are missing, and the rest have been sent to the hospital. My father and others are helping with the search and rescue, but we don't know if they can be saved."
Which one is gone?
Bao Ni's mother asked sadly, "We're all fishermen, and we all have to face this."
"The second team's captain and a young man whose wife is heavily pregnant."
Bonnie doesn't know her well and doesn't remember her.
"Sigh, sigh..."
Grandma and Bao Ni's mother sighed; things were going to get tough from now on!
Bonnie had just held Liu Jiu; she needed to go home to check on things. She didn't know if Gu Ye had returned, or how they were doing. Had they gone out to sea yesterday? Had they encountered a typhoon?
She understood somewhat the feelings her mother and grandmother had when they stood by the sea, hoping for the safety of their loved ones far away. There was no other way but to pray.
