Because of Bonnie's repeated warnings, Liu Jiu didn't rush in rashly. The main reason was that the situation wasn't critical; the group was just arguing.
Liu Jiu followed the sound and found four people standing behind the public restroom. Two girls were standing with their backs to her, so she couldn't see their faces clearly. She could see the two men, however, clearly; they were over 1.7 meters tall and looked to be in their early twenties. For some reason, they looked very tired.
"You brat, you've got the benefits and now you're turning your back on me. Who gave you the guts to try and cheat Brother Dong?"
A man with curly hair pointed at a girl and yelled, "It's the dead of winter, and you're still wearing your shirt off. Don't you know you're cold?"
"We don't know you, go away, or else, or else I'll go find my brother, boohoo..."
One of the girls had already started crying, saying things that had no impact whatsoever: "Who knows who your brother is?"
Liu Jiu thought this kid wasn't quite right in the head; he didn't recognize the person and didn't run away, so what was he doing here?
"You may not know her, but she does. You brat, tell me, how do we resolve this?"
Curly was getting impatient. This brat was clueless. She hooked up with their Brother Dong, got the benefits, and didn't want to give anything in return. There's no such thing as a free lunch.
And this little girl, she's been babbling on and on, and now she's crying again. It's such a headache.
"Jiaojiao, I really don't know them. Please help me, I'm scared."
One of the girls was helplessly holding onto the other girl's arm, trembling all over, looking very helpless.
"How can I help you? I don't know them, and I don't have any money. We ate at Lao Mo's today, and we spent it all, boohoo..."
Mu Jiaojiao was really scared. Today, taking advantage of the fact that her mother didn't have much time to look after her before the New Year, she took her pocket money and went out with her friends to stroll around and eat delicious food. However, as soon as she came out of the restaurant, she was dragged here by two men.
"Guan Xue, you've got some nerve, daring to play me for a fool and even finding such a young girl to back you up. You're really something."
The man who hadn't spoken until now finally spoke. Judging from his clothes, he was clearly well-off. I wonder what kind of entanglement they had.
Liu Jiu doesn't like shopping; she prefers to stay here and watch the excitement. If there are internal conflicts, she won't interfere.
"Don't do anything reckless. Do you know who her father is? He's a high-ranking officer in the military, and his brother is a pilot. If you're not afraid of trouble, then bring it on."
The girl who was just acting pitiful changed her tune quickly; she even started using her status to intimidate people.
"Xiaoxue, you can't tell."
Mu Jiaojiao turned to the girl named Guan Xue and spoke, her voice trembling with tears.
As she turned around, Liu Jiu recognized her – wasn't this Mu Nanfang's sister?
Liu Jiu has a good memory; I've seen her before, and although she's changed a bit, I can still recognize her.
She couldn't watch the show anymore. Although they weren't close, she couldn't ignore it out of respect for Mu Nanfang. But how could the Mu family raise such an ignorant girl? That girl clearly had a problem.
"Mu Jiaojiao?"
"Ah, who called me? Hiccup..."
Mu Jiaojiao cried and hiccuped; she regretted coming out.
Liu Jiu emerged from the corner and almost burst out laughing when she saw Mu Jiaojiao, whose face was covered in tears.
"Damn it, another busybody. So annoying."
Curly looked impatient when he saw Liu Jiu.
"Little dark-skinned girl, no, no, Gu Yun Chu, Sister Gu, boohoo, they're bullying me."
Mu Jiaojiao spoke incoherently and incoherently.
"Alright, it's time to go home. You've been out by yourself for so long, your brother must be worried about you."
Liu Jiu wasn't familiar with her and didn't know what to say. He just wanted to get her away as soon as possible, because her mother and Aunt Xiang would be worried soon.
"My brother isn't worried about me at all. He's so annoyed with me, boohoo... Sister Yun Chu, can you please not tell my brother? He'll beat me up."
Mu Jiaojiao held Liu Jiu's hand; she was saved. Sister Yun Chu was very powerful.
"Damn, are you guys done talking? You've kept our Brother Dong occupied for so long, and you think you can just walk away like that?"
Curly looked at Liu Jiu and thought, "This girl is really dark-skinned, except for being tall!"
"There's a wide road ahead, everyone can go their own way. Do you still want to commit violence in broad daylight?"
Liu Jiu originally intended to just take Mu Jiaojiao and leave, since that girl was clearly not someone to be trifled with. Moreover, although the two men had been shouting for a long time, they hadn't made a move, so they must know each other.
"Damn it, I've never been questioned by a girl before in my entire life. You must be tired of living."
Curly-haired boy rushed towards Liu Jiu in a huff and swung his hand hard at Liu Jiu's head.
"Ah, Sister Yun Chu, watch out!"
Mu Jiaojiao was terrified. If she slapped him like that, her skin would swell up. What was she going to do? She remembered watching her brothers practice before, and how they would decide which kick to use first.
Before Mu Jiaojiao could figure it out, the curly-haired boy had already been subdued by Liu Jiu.
Liu Jiu didn't move an inch. He reached out and grabbed his opponent's wrist. With a turn, the curly-haired man's arm was pinned behind his back, rendering him completely immobile.
"Ah... my arm, you brat, let go! Brother Dong, save me..."
Liu Jiu thought to himself, "Are the level of thugs these days really that low? It's a bit shameful that they're still out there doing this."
"Hey, lady, let's talk this out. We're not bad people. It's just that Guan Xue took the favor I offered but is trying to renege on it. We're furious and went to confront her."
Dong Ge suddenly realized that this guy was a martial arts expert. Despite his dark complexion, he knew from his every move that Dong Ge was no match for him.
“I didn’t want to meddle in your business, but I just met a naive little sister and wanted to take her home. You have a bad temper, brother, be more careful next time.”
