Chapter 7 Conditions

"It's not impossible for you to stay, but you have to comply with a few conditions!"

Seeing Tang Qiyue's gloomy expression, Zhan Zeye reached out and grabbed Tang Qiyue for some unknown reason.

At that moment, he even wondered if he was possessed by a ghost.

It only took a moment for Tang Qiyue to go from suspecting that she had heard wrong to having an expression full of surprise, but it changed her future path.

"You said, as long as I can do it!"

Tang Qiyue grabbed Zhan Zeye's arms with both hands, her face full of anticipation.

"One, I don't need a babysitter!"

"Second, you must accompany the army!"

"Three, don't be a fake couple!"

Tang Qiyue: ...

Except for the one about accompanying the army, the other two don't seem to be a problem, right?

She blinked blankly: "Are you sure these are the only three?"

Zhan Zeye gritted his teeth and squeezed out a word: "Yes!"

The two looked at each other for a long time, and Tang Qiyue smiled: "Okay, I promise you!"

Then, Tang Qiyue loosened her hand. She was afraid that Zhan Zeye would regret it, so she opened the door and said, "I'm going to help mother cook. A new daughter-in-law has to cook for the whole family on her first day!"

When she opened the door, she saw the Zhan family members scattered in the yard like birds and beasts. She didn't care, but went into the kitchen, and sure enough, she saw the big rooster that had just been processed was still in the basin.

Tang Qiyue rolled up her sleeves and said to Zhan's mother, "Mom, let me cook this meal!"

Zhan's mother didn't want her to get involved, but when she saw her eldest daughter-in-law standing at the door, she remembered that when her eldest daughter-in-law came home, she had to get up early the next morning to prepare meals for the whole family according to the rules, so she didn't want to break the rules.

"That works!"

Mother Zhan made way, took off her apron and handed it to Tang Qiyue.

Although Tang Qiyue doesn't look like someone who can cook, she really knows how to cook. She tied the apron around her waist skillfully, picked up the kitchen knife on the chopping board, held the handle with her left hand, and gently scraped the blade with her right index finger, frowning.

This kitchen knife is too blunt. It will definitely not be useful for chopping meat.

"Mom, do we have a grindstone at home?"

Tang Qiyue just glanced through the kitchen and didn't see that thing.

Mrs. Zhan reacted and pointed to a large bluestone next to the water tank in the yard: "Over there, do you know how to sharpen a knife?"

You have to know that knife sharpening is a technical job. Generally, they wait for the knife sharpeners who go door to door to come and sharpen the knives. On weekdays, they just rub the knives on the grindstone twice to ensure that the kitchen knives are not too blunt.

“A little bit!”

Tang Qiyue smiled shyly, picked up the kitchen knife and went to the grindstone. She scooped some water with a ladle and poured it on the grindstone. She grabbed the kitchen knife and tilted it at a 45-degree angle on the grindstone. She held the handle and blade and began to grind it skillfully.

It clearly didn't seem to require much technical skill, but as a bucket of water was poured on it, a cold light flashed across the blade, and it became visibly much sharper.

Tang Qiuyue looked at the kitchen knife she had sharpened with satisfaction, returned to the kitchen, grabbed the big rooster on the chopping board, and asked the whole family whether they liked strong or light flavors.

"My brother is injured and can't eat spicy food. We all like spicy food!"

Zhan Chunying couldn't wait to shout out.

Tang Qiyue knew what she was doing. She didn't chop the chicken directly, but instead used a kitchen knife to cut apart a rooster. As the knife slashed through it, the bones and flesh separated.

It seems that the chicken and the bones were originally separated.

Zhan Chunying's eyes widened, and even her eldest nephew who was watching the fun nearby exclaimed in surprise.

In just a moment, Tang Qiuyue had taken apart the chicken skeleton.

She chopped the chicken breast into minced meat, added salt and soy sauce to season it, added an egg and flour to mix it into a meat paste and set it aside. She then started to process the remaining chicken, cutting it into cubes, marinating it with salt and soy sauce, and placing it in a bowl for later use.

As for the remaining chicken bones, they were not wasted. They were blanched in water and put into a clay pot to start stewing.

It sounds troublesome, but Tang Qiuyue handled these things very quickly.

She asked Zhan's mother where the other vegetables were stored at home and saw yams, green peppers, onions and potatoes.

Peel the yam and cut into dice, then pour into the chicken skeleton soup.

Cut the green pepper into diamond-shaped slices, cut the onion into shreds, and cut the potato into cubes and soak them in water.

While heating the oil in a pan, Tang Qiyue brought over the freshly prepared chicken puree. Seeing a few cold steamed buns left over from yesterday, she picked up two of them and crushed them into crumbs.

Spread it evenly on the plate, then grab a piece of chicken paste and place it on the steamed bun crumbs, evenly spread it on all the steamed bun crumbs, flatten it with a rolling pin, make sure all the chicken paste is coated with steamed bun crumbs, shake the chicken patty that has been spread into a round pancake shape, make sure no steamed bun crumbs fall off.

The oil in the pan was already heated. Tang Qiuyue put the chicken patties on it and made four chicken patties in a row with her nimble hands.

The iron pan was just filled up, and because the chicken patties were very thin, they were fried quickly.

The oil used is soybean oil. Although the steamed buns are white, the soybean oil has color, and the golden chicken patties appear in everyone's sight.

It not only looks good, but also smells really good.

Anyone who has eaten fried chicken steak knows that the taste is particularly overbearing. Although Tang Qiuyue cannot restore it 100%, the marinated ingredients are good enough. The aroma is too strong in the era of material scarcity.

"Auntie, it smells so good!"

The nephew, with his mouth watering, couldn't resist the temptation at all. He grabbed Zhan Chunying's arm, his eyes glued to the meat pie in Tang Qiyue's hand.

Fried chicken patties are best eaten while hot. Tang Qiyue placed a few pieces of chicken patties on a plate and handed them directly to Zhan's mother: "Mom, these are best eaten while hot. Do you want to give some to everyone to fill their stomachs first?"

Tang Qiyue was delayed for some time because of Zhan Zeye's sudden return. She had missed breakfast long ago. Now that the sun was high in the sky, she felt a little embarrassed.

Zhan's mother was not the kind of pedantic mother-in-law. Her stomach had already started to feel empty when she smelled the aroma of meat. She did not pretend to wait until all the dishes were ready, and directly gave each person a chicken pie.

“Try them all!”

Following the order from the War Mother, everyone stuffed the chicken patties in their hands into their mouths.

Tang Qiuyue did not wait for everyone's feedback, but added some more oil to the hot pan, added ginger, garlic and onion when the oil was hot, and then poured the marinated diced chicken into the pan. The high temperature brought out the original aroma of the chicken. She stir-fried the chicken until the surface was golden brown, and then poured in the diced potatoes.

Heat enveloped Tang Qiyue, her hands were turning in the heat, and fragrance continued to emerge as she turned.

With the last green chili added to the pot, the fried chicken is ready.

While everyone was flaring their noses to absorb the aroma, Tang Qiuyue took advantage of the opportunity to throw yam into the chicken soup and adjusted the flavor.

There were many people at home, so Tang Qiuyue also fried two plates of seasonal vegetables.

Three dishes and a soup were placed on the table, and the Zhan family's eyes changed when they looked at Tang Qiyue.
