Chapter 9 Mushroom Soup (2/2)

Yang Liansheng looked at the pitiful amount of mushrooms in Qin Qing's backpack and without saying a word, he poured half a basket of mushrooms into her broken backpack.

Seeing Qin Qing still staring at his backpack, he hesitated and said, "My grandma likes to eat this mushroom too."

So not long after the rain stopped last night, he picked up his backpack and went up the mountain. The old man had weak legs and feet, but he just happened to like this. Only when he came back could he fulfill the old man's wish.

He was the first one to arrive, and as a young boy he had good eyesight, so he had already collected most of the mushrooms on the mountain.

Seeing the little girl staring at the basket of mushrooms eagerly, he would have given her all of them generously in the past, but now he gave her an explanation for the first time.

Qin Qing knew that the boy had misunderstood, and quickly waved his hands, "Enough, enough."

She was just stunned for a moment!

"You are so awesome! Brother Liansheng." He actually picked so many mushrooms that he made her look like trash.

The surprise and admiration in the little girl's eyes successfully pleased Yang Liansheng.

He said in a carefree manner, "It's nothing special, just, pretty simple."

After saying that, he grabbed another handful and gave it to Qin Qing. He remembered her two brothers and they were really good eaters.

Only then did he run down the mountain with ease.

Qin Qing looked at the various kinds of mushrooms in the backpack and was shocked. This guy must have a mine at home. He was so easy to deceive.

This person doesn't look like someone from the famine era, he's definitely a prodigal.

Zhu Lihua was once again surprised by her little daughter's luck. She picked half a basket of mushrooms. She had never picked so many mushrooms before.

When the three people asked her about the secret with sparkling eyes, Qin Qing unconsciously imitated someone's tone and said, "It's, it's very simple!"

This feeling of pretending to be cool is simply too good.

Goudan and Shitou were fighting over the backpack, they were very enthusiastic.

The family returned home with a bountiful harvest. Shitou noticed a bone stick with two pieces of meat stuck to it hanging in the kitchen, and he cried out in excitement.

Qin Zhilin came out from the inner room upon hearing the noise. He had gotten up early today and gone to town to buy a free pork bone. He took the backpack that Goudan had unloaded and was also surprised by the amount of mushrooms.

There was a hint of pride on Goudan's face, "This is all my sister's work."

Qin Qing's face turned red. "Please stop bragging," she said. "How could she do that?" She hurriedly explained that it was all given by others.

Goudan looked clearly unconvinced. Who would be willing to give you this mushroom delicacy that tastes as good as meat these days? Who is he trying to fool?

Instead, he attracted another wave of mindless praise, and Qin Qing was already numb.

In the evening, Zhu Lihua smashed the big bones and mixed them with shredded mushrooms to make a big pot of soup. The fresh aroma of mushrooms soon filled the air. She carefully picked out the marrow from the big bones, placed it in a porcelain bowl with a piece of minced meat, and handed it to Qin Qing.

Qin Qing took the bowl of soup from her mother, and without caring that it was too hot, she took a sip. It was so delicious.

The two brothers Goudan and Goudan were like puppies, burying their heads in their bowls and making slurping sounds while swallowing.

The soup is fragrant and the mushrooms are tender!

A rare delicacy.

I brought a bowl of mushroom soup to my mother early in the morning. Qin Zhilin came back just in time for dinner.

This time it was real meat soup. There was only a little bit of meat in total, so each person got a piece. We drank the bone soup until we were full.

Qin Zhilin, enjoying a rare moment of comfort, strolled around the yard. Seeing his wife finish all the housework, he came over to discuss, "We're starting work tomorrow. What do you think?"

Now they have three children.

The eldest son, Qin Zeming, is fourteen years old.

My uncle Qin Zebin is eleven years old.

The youngest daughter, Qin Qing, is ten years old, but looks only about seventeen years old. She is so weak that she looks like she could be blown down by the wind.

The eldest son can go to work and earn some work points, and even the old man can go to the team to cut grass, leaving only the little daughter unattended. If someone is assigned to take care of the little daughter, wouldn't we lose a lot of work points?

This is where things get awkward.

Zhu Lihua hesitated and asked, "How about letting Qingqing and Shitou be together?"

He quickly refused, "Qingqing is weak, are you willing to let her mow the grass?"

His daughter who died young followed him in the village and listened to him teach the teenagers how to become literate.

He also has to go to work now, so naturally he can't take care of the children.

"I didn't say to let Nannan go to cut grass, so let Shitou take her. We are in the village anyway, nothing will happen!" Zhu Lihua said to herself.

After all, the most important thing right now is to feed the whole family.
