Chapter 11 That guy seems to be really good! (Please read on)

early morning.

A bright and loud crowing of a rooster slowly broke the silence, and then smoke gradually rose, and every household began a new day.

Next to the chicken coop.

Father Su and the young boy Shitou were standing by the chicken coop with their butts sticking out.

"Shitou, are there any eggs in the henhouse?"

"Master, there are no more. I only found seven eggs in total! Can I have one in the morning?"

Then he looked at Father Su with an expectant look on his face.

Father Su waved his hand.

"Take the eggs and go find your uncle. All the chickens belong to him now! Go and discuss it with him!"

As he said this, Father Su stood up, dusted himself off, and walked absentmindedly into the house, muttering to himself as he walked.

"That guy seems to have some skills in raising chickens. He laid seven eggs early in the morning. So it seems that he is not bragging about laying ten eggs a day."

Su's mother looked at Su's absent-minded father and said unhappily.

"What are you doing wandering around there so early in the morning? And I saw you and Shitou squatting by the chicken coop early in the morning. Are you trying to learn how to hatch eggs?"

"What do you know? That damn secret recipe that the youngest brother prepared seems to be really useful. This morning, Shitou found seven eggs!"

Su's mother didn't understand.

"Isn't this a good thing? My son won't have to worry about eating eggs anymore!"

Father Su said unhappily, "Eat, eat, eat. All you do is eat all day long. You will definitely inherit this greedy habit of the youngest."

"Humph, you are smart and I am greedy, right? Since you are not greedy, then don't eat today! You will starve to death, old man."

As she said this, Su's mother took off her apron and prepared to go back to the house.

Su's father hurried to stop him.

"Hey, hey, hey, why are you so serious? Okay, okay, I'm wrong. You're just as greedy as me! I was mainly thinking about the proposal made by the youngest yesterday that the brigade should build a new chicken farm."

After hearing Father Su admit his mistake, Mother Su started pinching the steamed bread again and said, "Isn't this a good thing? What's there to hesitate about? If we really can have two eggs a day, we can probably sell them for a lot more money! And it's not against the rules for the brigade to build a chicken farm!"

Father Su took a puff of his pipe.

"I'm not afraid of violating the rules. If I were really afraid, the brigade wouldn't be able to build a pig farm. I'm mainly afraid that the boy is too frivolous. If he raises too many chickens and they get sick, the loss will be huge. Isn't there an old saying? No matter how much money you have, the hair on the head doesn't count."

"For example, the state-owned chicken farm in the next county had a serious disease last year, and all the chickens in the farm died all at once!"

Mother Su was shocked when she heard this and said, "The youngest child should not raise chickens then!"

"I heard the commune secretary talk about that. He said that the chicken plague was not serious at first. It only needed to be isolated, slaughtered and buried in time. It was mainly because the farm manager didn't take it seriously and didn't care about the chickens, which led to the spread of the chicken plague."

"Is that so? It was true a few years ago. Whenever you went to the commune, I was terrified all day long!"

"You worry about nothing all day long! What do I, an old revolutionary, have to be afraid of?"

"Humph, you still have the nerve to say that? You're the only one who has a high level of awareness and you came back after the battle! You're like a fool!"

At this time, a sound came from the yard.

Su Wenchen rubbed his eyes and walked into the main room.

"Mom, I heard you guys were arguing just now. What's going on?!"

"What are you arguing about? I'm praising your father for his high level of awareness."

Father Su shook his hands and said, "Alright, let's not talk about this anymore. What does a woman know? If I had really stayed in the city, it might not have been a good thing!"

For Su's father, when he first came back, he would toss and turn late at night, wondering if his life would be different if he had not come back.

But in recent years, he has also figured it out that it might not be a bad thing to come back early if he doesn't have the brains to do so.

Su Wenchen felt a little frightened when he heard this. This was no small matter these days.

"Dad, what do you mean? Did our family used to be landlords?"

"Landlord, what the hell! Your grandfather was so poor that he almost had to sell his pants. He wasn't even worthy of being a farmhand in the landlord's house!"

Su Wenchen patted his chest and immediately felt relieved.

"What did you say?"

Mother Su said unhappily, "Isn't it because your father has shown his style and high consciousness that after the war he even refused to do the job assigned to him in the city and ran back?"

Su Wenchen was a little surprised, "Is it true? Dad, why have I never heard you say this before?"

Father Su took a puff of his cigarette and said with a puzzled look, "What are you talking about? What's there to talk about? Do you think this is a good thing?"

Su Wenchen was a little confused, "Isn't this a good thing? A job in the city is so precious now!"

Father Su said slowly.

"When liberation first came, there were few jobs in the city, and the factories were still in the hands of capitalists."

"Didn't the higher-ups say they assigned you a job? Dad, why don't you do it?"

"Why?"

Father Su fell into a brief recollection, thinking of the first time he followed his old leader to see the big city.

There were all kinds of attempts to win him over and test him, and some even encouraged him to change his wife. It was hard to guard against!

But I definitely can’t tell this bastard!

Thinking of this, Father Su glared and said to Su Wenchen.

"Why do you care why I didn't stay in the big city? Why do you care about me now?"

Su Wenchen rolled his eyes.

Maybe Lao Deng is in menopause or something, he gets angry all the time.

He just said unhappily, "You are the captain, who dares to control you!"

Father Su nodded, "I'm glad to know. By the way, do you really want to raise chickens in the future?"

"I don't want to. I just want to eat and wait for death. Is that ok?"

"What the hell, you're just waiting to die, you don't work and you want to eat? Go and starve!"

"Isn't that the end? I don't have any other choice except raising chickens. I can't really dig the ground! Dad, you know my ability to dig the ground!"

Father Su was not happy with it and said, "What's wrong with digging the land? If we don't dig the land, where will the food come from? Will everyone starve to death every day?"

"If you really want to build a chicken farm, organize your ideas. If the other brigade officers have no objection, you can build it!"

Su Wenchen immediately perked up.

"Really? Then I won't go to work today!"

Father Su looked at Su Wenchen suspiciously, "Do you want to be lazy again?"

"Dad, don't I have to go to the commune in advance to learn about the market? How much are chickens? How much are eggs? How much is feed? Don't I have to investigate all of this?"

"And we have to prepare all kinds of medicines in advance, otherwise getting sick will be a big problem!"

Father Su nodded.

That's true. After all, he didn't want to be like the county next door, where a chicken plague killed most of the chickens.

It seems that the youngest one is really going to do this seriously this time.

"Okay, I'll tell your captain for you when we get to work later!"

The contract has been signed, and I hope everyone will read more of the new book!
