Lao Lian, along with He Tiantian and Huo Yingjie, went to see the other courtyards.
He Tiantian has her eye on a courtyard house by the roadside. It's a busy street with lots of people coming and going, and surrounded by residential areas, making it suitable for our shop. Another option is near a large park, also in a commercial area, with shops on the ground floor and restaurants/teahouses on the second. However, if He Tiantian were to open her shop there, she would demolish these old houses and rebuild a row of antique-style rooms.
There were three other courtyards, and He Tiantian noted down the advantages and disadvantages of each, as well as their prices.
After a busy day, He Tiantian and Huo Yingjie treated Lao Lian to dinner, and they didn't go home until evening.
Because they told Madam Huo not to wait for them to eat together when they left in the morning, they ate outside before coming back.
"Have you eaten?" Old Madam Huo asked. "There's still some food left in the kitchen!"
