Cui Ying was horrified!
"You..." Cui Ying was about to send a teleportation talisman to her uncle and senior brother when she was subdued by the Snake King and rendered unconscious.
Huo Yingjie looked at the Snake King and frowned, "Why are you here?"
The Snake King was cultivating, but after the tunnel was opened here, he was also attracted and wanted to see if there was anything here that could help him cultivate.
The Snake King still remembered how the jade burial suit worn by the tomb owner in the last large tomb had greatly helped him. This time, he wanted to try it too, hoping to gain even more.
"I'm looking for something useful for cultivation, why are you here?" The Snake King was indignant. He was already so powerful, yet he was still competing with him for things. Shameless.
"Hehe, I just wanted to have some fun!" Huo Yingjie chuckled, then disappeared.
The Snake King followed closely behind and soon arrived inside the tomb.
Even the Snake King had to admire the skill of these tomb raiders. They managed to dig such a long tunnel in such a short time. They were all talented! At least they were much more experienced than the archaeologists outside.
Upon arriving at the tomb, the tomb robbers followed Lu Lao Er's lead.
Lu Lao Er was experienced, and he had been to a similar large tomb before, so he was familiar with the place. He dodged several traps and successfully reached the main tomb.
This large tomb and the previous one should be considered a joint burial, but why were they separated and became two independent burial sites?
What is valuable to archaeologists is nothing to tomb raiders like Lu Lao Er, so they head straight for the place where burial objects are placed.
Each of these people carried a sack, filled it up, and left. If they had time, they would come back again.
In no time, they had filled sacks with huge sums of money.
One of them saw the coffin in the very center and, as if bewitched, slowly walked towards the golden coffin.
Lu Lao Er walked up to the man, slapped him twice, and cursed, "You idiot, don't covet the people or things in the coffin. Those people prepared so many burial goods, partly so that they could live a life of luxury after death, just like when they were alive, and partly so they could buy peace and quiet. We've taken their burial goods, so let's not disturb their peace. We've taken enough, let's go."
“Brother Lu, your coffin is so exquisite. Aren’t you curious about the things on the body of the tomb’s occupant?” Ma Si said. “Let’s go take a look. If it’s just ordinary stuff, we won’t touch it. But if it’s some rare treasure, we’ll take it and pull off a big heist. It’ll make the trip worthwhile.”
Lu Lao Er squinted and glanced at the exquisite and noble golden coffin a few times, his greed growing stronger.
"No!" Lu Lao Er tripped over something on the ground and regained some of his senses. "Let's get out of here quickly. This golden coffin is unusual; it can bewitch people."
Ma Si was startled awake by Lu Lao Er's voice and quickly took a few steps back.
The other two people, like puppets, walked step by step toward the coffin.
"Ma Si, don't stare at that coffin. Let's keep our heads down and pull them both back," said Lu Lao Er. After saying that, he lowered his head and rushed forward, forcefully pulling the person in front of him back.
Ma Si acted quickly and successfully pulled the person back.
Ma Si imitated Lu Lao Er and slapped the man's face several times.
The two then came to their senses, their faces bruised and swollen.
"Grab your things and leave quickly, this place is very eerie," said Lu Lao Er. If they didn't leave now, he was afraid he would never be able to leave again.
Tomb raiders are greedy when they see good stuff, but they can't be insatiable.
Upon hearing what Lu Lao Er said, the others quickly packed their belongings and prepared to leave along the same route.
Halfway there, Cui Heng and Hua Shan happened to run into Lu Lao Er and his group.
"Who are you?" Lu Lao Er was taken aback, raised his gun, and pointed it at Cui Heng. The four men immediately became alert.
Cui Heng frowned and said, "We are fellow practitioners and do not want to start a bloodbath. You can take your things and leave."
Killing these people would be easy, but Cui Heng was worried that a fight would trigger unknown mechanisms here, and even if they were highly skilled, they might not be able to leave.
At the same time, Cui Heng also noticed that they didn't have anything that attracted him, only some antiques, jade, gold and silver items.
These things are useless to them!
Lu Lao Er was taken aback, not expecting these people to be so easy to talk to, and he became a little suspicious.
“Don’t doubt it. You only took part of the things. The two of us will also leave after taking our things. We’ll keep to ourselves and there will be no casualties. Once we start fighting, none of us will be able to get out,” Cui Heng said, trying to persuade them kindly.
If we can avoid taking action, that's fine; they'll go up first anyway.
"Thank you!" Lu Lao Er clasped his hands in thanks. "We'll go on the right, and you can go on the left. We won't interfere with each other."
“Okay!” Cui Heng agreed.
Face to face, we walk forward step by step.
Upon reaching the center, everyone began to back away, cautiously guarding against the opposing force.
After they had kept their distance for more than 20 meters, Lu Lao Er and his group were slightly relieved and quickly left with their men.
"Uncle-Master, are we just going to let them go like this?" Hua Shan asked. "What if these people get out and reveal our whereabouts..."
"Don't worry, we still have Ying'er. Do you think she'll let these people go?" Cui Heng said. Even though these people had guns, he believed that Cui Ying could handle them.
Hua Shan thought for a moment and realized that her junior sister's skills were similar to hers, so she should be able to handle these four people.
"Hurry up, stop dawdling," Cui Heng urged, feeling that they were getting closer and closer.
“Yes, Uncle-Master!” Hua Shan replied.
While Cui Heng and Lu Lao Er were negotiating on Mount Hua, Huo Yingjie and the Snake King had already arrived at the golden coffin.
With a wave of his hand, the coffin lid was lifted.
Inside was a young woman, seemingly fast asleep, lying in the coffin.
Huo Yingjie frowned, scanned the garment, and said, "It's this jade burial suit!"
"Are you going to take it away or absorb the spiritual energy here?" Huo Yingjie asked, as there were two people behind him and time was of the essence.
"Take it!" said the Snake King, reaching out to tear off the golden jade garment.
"You have absolutely no mercy for women," Huo Yingjie teased, looking at the Snake King with a half-smile.
"She's not my lover, why should I show her any mercy!" the Snake King said. "We've already got the goods, can we leave now?"
The Snake King then closed the coffin lid again.
In their eyes, only this jade burial suit, brimming with spiritual energy, was a treasure; everything else was just useless trinket.
"Let's go," Huo Yingjie said.
"Who is it?" Cui Heng asked sharply. He sensed that what the young man in front of him was holding was something that had a fatal attraction for them.
Snake King Huo Yingjie had his back to them and didn't intend for Cui Heng and Hua Shan to see their faces, so he simply disappeared on the spot.
