Chapter 121 Can You Be Responsible for What You Say? (1/2)

Secretary Liao saw her retract her pulse-taking hand and asked again, "How is it?"

Song Yun said, "My diagnosis is an acute malignant lung tumor."

Secretary Liao was stunned. "Lung tumor? Doctor Jiang only said he had severe pneumonia, but didn't mention any tumors."

Director Fu came over with a frown on his face. "A tumor is cancer, right?"

Song Yun nodded, "It should be said that malignant tumors are cancer."

Director Fu still didn't believe it. "You can tell he has cancer just by taking his pulse?"

Song Yun said, "I didn't just take the pulse, I also checked everything. Anyway, this is my judgment, and you can believe it or not."

Director Fu had heard of lung cancer, which has a high mortality rate and usually affects older people. The foreigner in front of him was still very young, so it shouldn't be the case, right?

Secretary Liao thought about Mr. Hansen's condition over the past two weeks and felt that Song Yun's diagnosis might be true. If it was just pneumonia, how could the patient get worse the longer he was treated? Now he was almost in a coma.

Secretary Liao said to Director Fu, "Why don't we ask Doctor Jiang to come over and ask him again?"

Director Fu nodded, "This is the only way."

Secretary Liao went to ask for Dr. Jiang. Deputy Director Chen came up to Song Yun and asked with a frown, "Can you take responsibility for what you said?"

Song Yun raised an eyebrow, "What responsibility?"

Deputy Director Chen said coldly, "Of course it's your diagnosis. If your diagnosis is wrong, will you be responsible?"

Song Yun's face turned cold, and she was about to retort when Director Fu glared at Deputy Director Chen in dissatisfaction. "What do you want her to be responsible for? We hired this person, so if there's any problem, we're the ones responsible. Besides, who is responsible for this? If the hospital didn't figure out the cause of the disease, aren't you going to hold Dr. Jiang and the others responsible too?"

Deputy Director Chen was so embarrassed by Director Fu's rebuke that he immediately explained, "That's not what I meant."

"What do you mean by 'not that'? Don't think I don't know what's on your mind. A grown man, when faced with a problem, instead of thinking about how to solve it, he only thinks about finding someone to take the blame. What do you mean?"

Deputy Director Chen's face flushed red from the scolding. He couldn't get out of his humiliation and could only muffle his words, "I have something else to do at the factory. I'll leave now."

Someone spoke up for her, and Song Yun felt a little better.

Director Fu said to Song Yun, "Comrade Song, don't worry. No matter what the outcome is, no one will blame you. I will pay you the medical fees you are owed."

Song Yun nodded, thinking that although Director Fu looked sullen and silent, he was still a decent person.

Secretary Liao came over quickly, followed by the three doctors who had left earlier.

Obviously, they had heard what Secretary Liao said on the way here. The expressions of the three of them were a little strange. After they entered the ward, they all looked at Song Yun, but did not speak to her. They went straight to the bedside table and took out all the examination reports to check them carefully.

They had reviewed these reports before, but only individually, as the tests weren't done all at once, but over several sessions, so the reports were naturally separated by batches. Now, they'd all be put together for a careful comparison, combining the differences in data before and after, as well as Mr. Hansen's various reactions to the medication, and were surprised to discover that it could indeed be lung cancer. While it wasn't typical, it was a real possibility.

"What do you mean?" Director Fu was like a mute when he saw the three doctors. They hadn't said a word since they entered the ward, which was completely different from their previous attitude.
