When Song Yun went to the coconut grove, Lao Zhang and Shao Quan had already arrived before her and were trying hard to climb the trees, looking quite funny.
As she got closer, she heard Lao Zhang complaining, "Didn't Doctor Song say it was easy? This tree is too hard to climb. Do you think if we shake it together, will the coconuts fall down?"
Song Yun suppressed her laughter and tried to quietly go around to the other side, but was spotted by the sharp-eyed Shao Quan, "Song Yun, you're here, teach us how to climb a coconut tree."
Teach? How do you teach?
Song Yun walked to a coconut tree and said, "Let me show you how to do it first. Come and see."
Song Yun put her hands on the tree trunk, stepped on the tree, and moved her hands and feet together, as smoothly as walking on flat road. In no time, she "walked" to the top of the tree, leaving Lao Zhang and Shao Quan stunned.
Were they climbing the same tree?
Why is it so difficult for them to climb? They always slide down and can't keep their feet.
The two tried again, but the result was the same: their feet were as slippery as if they were greased, and they couldn't get up at all.
Song Yun had naturally expected this result. Climbing a tree required practice, especially a coconut tree. Without tools, it was even more difficult.
Song Yun had just cut a bunch of coconuts with a knife and shouted to the people below, "Captain Shao, move aside. I'm going to throw coconuts."
Shao Quan and Lao Zhang quickly made way, and a large bunch of coconuts fell to the ground, and the two of them were so jealous.
Song Yun called out again, "I'll cut another bunch for you from another tree."
If there are two people, they naturally have to be evenly matched, with one hanging for each person.
Song Yunqian climbed down from the tree and ignored the two people who were smiling happily. She changed to another tree, cut another bunch of coconuts for them and threw it down, then sent them back quickly with the coconuts.
After they left, she started to do something.
Lao Zhang and Shao Quan knew that Song Yun was very strong and didn't need their help, so they didn't say much. They happily dragged the coconut back.
After the two left, Song Yun let go and worked hard. In order to save space, she unscrewed the coconuts one by one and put them into the storage compartments. She didn't wave her hand until the two newly exchanged storage compartments were almost full. She cut two more pieces and dragged them back in her hands. This was for show and she couldn't miss any.
When the soldiers saw that they had obtained so many coconuts, they were also envious. Unfortunately, they did not have the free time to do anything with them, so they could only look at them for a few more seconds.
They had their last meal in the temporary camp and used up all the fish soaked in the salt water pool. Song Yun also helped Lao Zhang make her specialty, the flatbreads, which they ate with the braised sea fish. Everyone was grinning from ear to ear while eating.
The return trip from the island was by warship. This was Song Yun’s first time on a warship, and she was quite excited.
She was so absorbed in admiring the warship that she didn't realize she had become the focus of everyone's attention.
It was hard not to notice a young and very pretty girl coming on board with a bunch of coconuts in one hand.
If they weren't on a mission right now, the marines on the ship would have come over to help carry things and chat with them.
"Comrade Song Yun?" A familiar voice suddenly sounded. Song Yun turned her head and saw a face. She had a good memory and was confused for only a second before she remembered who the other person was.
"Comrade Yang Wenbing!" Song Yun greeted with a smile.
Yang Wenbing approached with a look of surprise. He looked at the girl, who was much tanned since their last meeting, but still as beautiful. "Why are you here?" He then realized he'd said something foolish. She was wearing a military uniform and boarding the ship with Sichuan Province's elite special operations team, so her identity was obvious. He had also received a letter from his sister, who had mentioned this matter, saying that Song Yun had joined the Sichuan Provincial Military Region as a military doctor.
