Old ginger is still spicy.
Song Yun did not deny it and exchanged a few pleasantries with the old lady with a smile.
At dinner time, Shuhua's uncle and his family all came back. Uncle Xu Minqiang also worked in the community, cousin Xu Wenhua worked in the agricultural machinery station, and cousin Xu Xuehua worked in the community health station. They graduated from a medical school and knew some medical knowledge, but not much. They usually just bandaged people to stop bleeding, prescribed antipyretics and painkillers, etc. Complicated illnesses were usually sent to the health hospital, so their work was relatively leisurely.
The family was having dinner happily. When they were about to finish, someone suddenly knocked on the gate very urgently.
The whole family was calm, apparently they were used to it.
Mother Zhang Cuixiang said to her daughter Xu Xuehua, who was still eating the last bite of her meal, "Hurry up, they must be looking for you. Open the door quickly, don't delay."
As a doctor at the health station, even after get off work, if any villagers had a headache, fever, injury or bleeding, they would come to the Xu family to find Xu Xuehua.
Xu Xuehua shoveled the last bite of rice into his mouth, put down his bowl and chopsticks without any manner, stood up and ran out.
The people in the main room heard the sound of the courtyard door opening, followed by a woman's anxious voice, "Sister Xuehua, please check on my Tiedan quickly. What's wrong with him? He keeps complaining of a stomachache and won't eat or sleep."
Xu Xuehua glanced at Tiedan, who was squatting on the ground, and asked, "Didn't you take him to the Dong County Hospital?"
The woman looked embarrassed. "I went to the hospital, and the doctor didn't say anything wrong. He just told me to go home and drink more water. But drinking water didn't help at all. It didn't help at all."
When Xu Xuehua saw Tiedan's mother's expression, she knew that her family definitely didn't want them to take Tiedan to the county hospital for treatment. She sighed inwardly and said, "Come in."
To be honest, she didn't know what was going on with Tiedan, but she couldn't just let him go back without doing anything, so she decided to take a look.
Tiedan's mother brought Tiedan and Xu Xuehua into the main room. Zhang Cuixiang and Xu Shuhua were cleaning up the dishes. Song Yun wanted to help, but was sternly rejected by the two.
"Tiedan's mom, what's wrong? Tiedan's stomach still hurts?" Zhang Cuixiang put down the half-cleaned dishes and walked up to Tiedan and asked.
The rest of the Xu family also showed expressions of concern.
Tiedan's mother's eyes were red, obviously she had been crying. She smiled bitterly and shook her head, "I don't know what happened to me. I cried out in pain and went to the hospital. The doctor didn't even give us any medicine and just sent us back. I felt so sad..." As she spoke, tears welled up in her eyes again.
Xu Xuehua asked Tiedan to stand up and asked him where it hurt. He said here and there. Judging from his expression, it should be a little painful, but not severe. Unlike a child of his age, he would have rolled on the ground in pain.
After asking and touching, Xu Xuehua still couldn't figure out what was going on. Just as she was thinking about what to say, Song Yun came over, took the little guy's hand, and said, "Let me take a look." She quickly took the pulse and touched the child's belly, and she was almost sure.
But this ending is a bit laughable.
"Constipation." Song Yun said.
No one understood.
Tiedan's mother asked: "What is constipation?"
"It's uterine congestion. The stool in my intestines is too hard and stuck, so I can't poop it out. It's probably because I ate too much dry, hard food that's hard to digest, and didn't drink enough water."
Tiedan's mother understood, but she was a little skeptical. The child had had stomachache for two days, and even the doctors at the hospital didn't know what the problem was. The family even thought Tiedan had some terminal illness. Even she thought Tiedan must have some incurable disease, but the little girl in front of her said that Tiedan just couldn't poop?
PS: The feeling of not being able to poop is too uncomfortable, don’t ask me why.
