Chapter 433: There's a Ghost (1/2)

Song Yun told Bai Qingxia and her aunt about Song Zhenzhen's job at the department store.

My aunt didn't care, but she was a little curious about what this heartless Song Zhenzhen looked like.

Bai Qingxia was very reluctant to meet Song Zhenzhen. She had raised her daughter for eighteen years, but when she learned that her family was about to suffer a disaster, she immediately cut off ties with them and threw her younger brother, who grew up with her, into the countryside. If it weren't for Xiaoyun, it would be hard to say whether Ziyi could escape from that family alive.

For a while, Bai Qingxia couldn't understand how the child whom she and Song Hao had carefully taught for eighteen years could be such a vicious person.

But later she figured it out and felt relieved. They would just be strangers when they met again, no matter what she looked like.

But now that they were really going to meet, Bai Qingxia still felt very uneasy. However, seeing that her sister-in-law didn't say anything, and Xiaoyun and Ziyi didn't react at all, she didn't say much and just followed them.

When they arrived at the department store, the aunt first bought the cakes and candies that Ziyi liked, Bai Qingxia bought the fried fish that Song Yun liked and the egg cake that the old lady liked, and Song Yun bought a pair of leather shoes for each family member. Ziyi was responsible for carrying the things, one big bag in his left hand and one big bag in his left hand.

The family walked and shopped, and when they reached the fabric counter, Ziyi had no more room in his hands.

Song Zhenzhen was pulling cloth for a customer. When she looked up after finishing, she saw Bai Qingxia chatting and laughing with Song Yun. She screamed in surprise, "Ghost!"

Her cry of surprise startled the customers who were looking at the fabrics at the counter.

Song Yun narrowed her beautiful eyes and stared at Song Zhenzhen with an inquiring look.

Why did Song Zhenzhen react so strongly when she saw Bai Qingxia? There must be something fishy going on.

How could she be so sure that Bai Qingxia would not be able to reach Beijing alive?

Speaking of which, if she hadn't taken Ziyi to the countryside, if she hadn't known medical skills and arrived in time, Bai Qingxia's condition would not have lasted long. Not only Bai Qingxia, but Song Hao would probably not have survived that winter either.

But how could Song Zhenzhen, who was far away in Beijing, know all this?

Song Zhenzhen also came to her senses and confirmed that Bai Qingxia was alive. She ran over and stood in front of Bai Qingxia, looking surprised and happy, "Mom, you're not dead?"

Bai Qingxia looked at Song Zhenzhen calmly, "Are you disappointed that I'm not dead?"

Song Zhenzhen said hurriedly, "Mom, what are you talking about? I'm so happy that you're not dead, how could I be disappointed? Mom, you don't know how much I've missed you and Dad these past few years. I—"

Bai Qingxia didn't want to hear her say these false words.

If Song Zhenzhen really missed her and Song Hao, why didn't she ask Song Yun and Ziyi anything when she met them? Not even a single question.

"Song Zhenzhen," Bai Qingxia interrupted Song Zhenzhen, "I'm not your mother. Don't mistake me for your mother. You should keep all your thoughts for your biological parents. I can't bear it."

Song Zhenzhen's expression changed slightly, and she quickly grabbed Bai Qingxia's arm. "Mom, did someone tell you something?" She glared at Song Yun and said, "I'm the daughter you raised. How can you trust her instead of me? Whatever she says is just to sow discord between us. You can't just believe her one-sided story."

Bai Qingxia pulled her arm, patted the dust off her arm, and said lightly: "I don't need to listen to what anyone says. I have my own eyes to see and my own heart to feel. I know very well who is sincere and who is fake. Song Zhenzhen, from the moment you gave Ziyi away, you and I have no relationship at all. If we meet on the road again in the future, please pretend that you don't know each other and don't come up to claim kinship. I can't afford to be your relative." After that, she walked straight to the counter and bought fabric from another salesperson.
