Chapter 526 Zhong Guochang (1/2)

Song Yun paused while writing.

Zhong Guochang?

Mengou Village?

Her gaze fell on the face of the man on the hospital bed again, but the man had an unshaven beard, bloodstains and wounds on his face, and he looked pale and thin, so it was difficult to tell what he looked like.

The old man hesitated and said, "Doctor, can you please prescribe some medicine? I have -" He took out two yuan from his pocket with trembling hands, "This is all the money I have on me, look at this -"

Song Yun retracted her gaze and continued writing the medical record. "Uncle, he must be hospitalized. He just needs to stay in the hospital for observation. It won't cost much. Two dollars is enough. You can go with the nurse to handle the procedures." Song Yun pointed to a nurse.

The nurse standing far away saw that Dr. Song called her, and she didn't know what to say. She took the old man to go through the procedures and collected two dollars.

Anyway, it was Doctor Song who said so, so she just had to do it.

Song Yun arranged Zhong Guochang to stay in the ward on the third floor so that she could take care of him nearby.

At two o'clock in the afternoon, Zhong Guochang woke up. When he opened his eyes, he saw the snow-white ceiling and smelled the faint smell of disinfectant. He was a little dazed.

He slowly rolled his eyes and confirmed that he was in a hospital. The injuries on his body didn't seem to hurt as much as before, but he just had no strength and was hungry.

What's the answer? How could he be hospitalized? Didn't they say he couldn't be hospitalized due to his status?

Just as I was in a daze, the closed door suddenly opened and a nurse walked in. She glanced at the IV bottle hanging above the bed and saw that there was no more medicine in the bottle, so she walked in and pulled out the needle.

"Mr. Zhi, let me ask, who sent me to the hospital?" Zhong Guochang asked the nurse.

The nurse also felt sorry for him. Since there was no one else in the ward, she said softly, "An old man brought you here on an ox cart. Doctor Song took pity on you and made an exception to admit you. You should rest well first. Doctor Song will come to check on you soon."

Zhong Guochang thanked him, but he was curious about what kind of person this Doctor Song was. Wasn't he afraid that his identity as a cowshed resident would cause him trouble?

When Song Yun heard the nurse say that Zhong Guochang had woken up, she immediately brought the medical records over.

"Zhong Guochang, right?" Song Yun asked the name first.

Zhong Guochang, "I'm Zhong Guochang, and you're Doctor Song?"

Song Yun nodded. "My last name is Song. Are you feeling unwell?"

Zhong Guochang didn't expect that the Dr. Song mentioned by the nurse would be such a young female doctor. He thought it was an older male doctor.

"I'm fine. Isn't Dr. Song afraid of getting into trouble by admitting me?" Zhong Guochang asked.

Song Yun took a pen and wrote the medical record. "You are the patient, I am the doctor, and I treat you. Isn't that natural? What trouble can I cause?"

"That's true, but you also know my identity—" Zhong Guochang's voice was very low, as if he was muttering to himself, and it was unclear whether he was talking to Dr. Song or to himself.

Song Yun heard it, she stopped writing, looked at Zhong Guochang, and said seriously: "You are seriously injured and hospitalized now, just go to the hospital to recover, don't think about anything else."
