When leaving the Public Security Bureau, Hu Guangming gave Song Yun a document containing the suspect's basic information.
The suspect was named Shi Wenqiang, 32 years old. He was the newly adopted son of the deputy director of the textile factory. Now he was a full-time employee of the Sixth Towel Factory. He was originally married to a girl from the textile factory, but unfortunately, less than three months after the marriage, the girl accidentally fell down the stairs and hit her head, dying on the spot.
The introduction before the recognition was very brief, almost mentioned in passing, and was of little reference value.
The motorcycle stopped at the towel factory's residential area. Song Yun got out of the sidecar with Huibao and asked Hu Guangming, "Why aren't there any detailed details about Shi Wenqiang before he was recognized as a relative?"
Hu Guangming said, "Before Shi Wenqiang was reunited with his family, he lived in the mountains in Jiangxi City, which made it difficult to investigate. I sent a telegram to the public security bureau there for assistance, and they responded, but there was almost no useful information, so I didn't write in detail."
Song Yun nodded and didn't ask any more questions. It was useless to ask.
The police have been coming to the towel factory's residential area frequently recently, and the residents there are no longer surprised. Some even greeted Hu Guangming and asked him about Shi Wenqiang's situation.
Hu Guangming was polite and perfunctory in his greetings. After walking around the family's house, Huibao barked twice when passing by Shi Wenqiang's house, and there was no response from the rest of the family.
"Let's go to the Shi family." Song Yun suggested.
Hu Guangming stepped forward immediately. The Shi family did not dare to say that they were not allowed to see, so they immediately opened the door and let them in.
After something like this happened, it was inevitable that the Shi family would be gloomy. The atmosphere at home was depressing and everyone looked grim.
Deputy Director Shi rushed back upon hearing the news and offered a cigarette to Hu Guangming when he saw him, but Hu Guangming refused.
"Captain Hu, my son has always been obedient and sensible. This incident definitely has nothing to do with him."
Hu Guangming said, "Don't be so sure. We were able to find your house, so there must be a reason."
The seven missing victims had all been on blind dates with Shi Wenqiang before their disappearance, and had expressed their desire to continue the relationship with Shi Wenqiang. This cannot be a coincidence.
Deputy Factory Director Shi said, "My son only dated those women and we haven't had any contact since. He wasn't attracted to them and hasn't seen them since. Now they're gone, how can you blame him?"
Hu Guangming looked at Deputy Factory Director Shi and said, "Seven women disappeared after going on blind dates with your son. You said you had nothing to do with him. Do you believe that?"
Deputy Director Shi's mouth moved, his eyes evasive. "Why, why don't you believe it? My son would never do such a thing."
Hu Guangming was too lazy to talk nonsense with him and looked at Song Yun.
Song Yun shook her head, indicating that she had found nothing in this house.
Hu Guangming sighed inwardly but didn't say much. He had searched this place three times and found nothing. It was not surprising that Huibao was not found.
They left the Shi family's house and continued to wander around the places where Shi Wenqiang usually appeared. Just like Deputy Director Shi said, Shi Wenqiang seldom went out, and he only appeared in a few places. Huibao sniffed around but didn't find anything.
Time passed by little by little. Hu Guangming kept checking his watch, and finally, with a heavy heart, he finally died. "The time is up, it's time to release him."
