Chapter 167: Escape (2/2)

No wonder Jiang Xin is so arrogant and domineering.

When they returned to the ward, Chief Wu was still asleep. The two men put their things down quietly and said hello to the guards. They went to sit in the corridor outside for a while, and called them when Chief Wu woke up.

The two of them sat down in the corridor, and the old man took out a prescription he had worked out a few years ago and asked Song Yun to take a look at it.

It was a recipe for replenishing kidney qi. It improved upon the original "Quan Shen Tang" recipe by adding some herbs and increasing or decreasing the dosage. The medicinal properties were milder, but the effect wasn't as strong as the "Quan Shen Tang." In Song Yun's opinion, this recipe was a good improvement, significantly reducing side effects while retaining the kidney-tonifying effect. It just required more doses, and the effect would have increased.

The two began to discuss further possibilities for the prescription, but before they could say much, Section Chief Liao returned and said to the old man and Song Yun with an apologetic look on his face, "President Fang and Director Qi are waiting for you two in the conference room to discuss your positions."

When Song Yun heard this and looked at Section Chief Liao's expression, she knew that things might have changed, and Director Qi was probably going to interfere.

Song Yun went into the ward and said something to the guard. After coming out, she and Gu Laotou followed Section Chief Liao. Song Yun whispered to Gu Laotou, "Is this the only military hospital I can go to when I come to the military region to be a doctor?"

The old man knew what Song Yun was thinking and said quickly, "Of course it's not just the military hospital. There are also medical teams in the army. Aside from the harsh working conditions, it's much better than this shabby hospital. The working hours are more flexible. Especially for us Chinese medicine practitioners, we can apply for their herbal formulas at any time, go out to collect herbs, and call us when needed. If I weren't so old, I would have joined the military medical team long ago."

When she heard that there would be free time, Song Yun was immediately attracted.

If she works in a military hospital, she will have to go to work every day and won't have time to do anything for herself.

Section Chief Liao, who was standing in front of the desk, listened to the conversation between the two and smiled bitterly.

Director Qi was still trying to prevent him from getting a job, but he didn't expect that he looked down upon the hospital job and had already thought of other places to go.

We were almost at the small meeting room on the third floor. There was a long table that could seat more than a dozen people. Dean Fang and Director Qi were arguing about something. Both of them looked unhappy and it seemed that they had not reached an agreement.

Song Yun and Gu Laotou came in and both of them shut up.

Dean Fang smiled when he saw Song Yun, "Xiao Song is here, come and sit down."

Director Qi snorted coldly when he saw Dean Fang's attitude.

Song Yun pretended not to see it, and smiled as she moved to sit down at the seat next to Dean Fang. The old man also sat down.

Section Chief Liao could only move to sit down next to Director Qi across from him.

"Dean Fang, what's the matter with you calling us here?" Song Yun asked.

Dean Fang was a bit embarrassed. He glanced at Director Qi and sighed, "Look, Director Qi told me that when she went to the ward of Senior Commander Wu today, you and Doctor Gu were both gone. She came back an hour later and said that you guys took advantage of your working hours to skip work and go to the supply and marketing cooperative. Is that true?"

Song Yun said calmly: "We went to the supply and marketing cooperative, not to skip work."

Director Qi slammed the table and yelled angrily, "How dare you lie to my face? If I hadn't caught you today, would you have denied even going to the supply and marketing cooperative?"
