Lin Yu heard a shout, but she couldn't tell what it was. She turned her head to look.
Oh my god, it's a wild boar.
In the emergency, Li Dahui stopped stammering: "Xiaoyu climbed the tree."
Lin Yu obediently climbed up. Although she was strong, at this point, she should just listen to the boss and not hold him back.
Lin Yu's tree-climbing skills are quite good; Kuku climbed up in just a few moments.
She peered down from the tree and saw Li Dahui leading the wild boar away from her tree.
He ran in circles, trying to confuse the wild boar.
The wild boar relentlessly pursued him, but Li Dahui showed no sign of panic.
He remained as calm as a great general, and when he found an opportunity, he turned around, took out his bow and arrow, and shot.
The wild boar's hide was very thick; the arrows stuck in it but were otherwise unharmed.
But this action clearly angered the wild boar, which charged at Li Dahui with a loud roar.
Lin Yu watched in horror, "Uncle Da Hui, be careful."
Li Dahui took out his bow and arrow again and shot it at the wild boar's eyes.
This time, he hit the target.
The wild boar had an injured eye and its mobility was impaired.
Li Dahui then took a knife out of his basket and charged toward the wild boar.
Lin Yu stared wide-eyed; what a brave man!
The wild boar could still see with its other eye, and when it saw Li Dahui charging towards it, it also charged towards the human.
An attempt to achieve a lose-lose situation.
Li Dahui swung his broadsword, dodging the wild boar's charge, but his first strike missed.
The wild boar charged again, but this time Li Dahui aimed carefully and slashed at it with his knife.
The wild boar howled again; its movements were even more sluggish after being injured.
Li Dahui pressed his advantage, slashing the wild boar in the neck with his next strike.
After a few chops, the wild boar collapsed completely.
Lin Yu, who was perched in the tree, felt a sudden jolt: "Uncle Da Hui, be careful, I'm coming."
Just as Li Dahui was chopping down that big wild boar, another one came from behind!
Lin Yu quickly climbed down from the tree, picked up a stone, and threw it at the wild boar.
The wild boar was drawn to her attention, changed direction, and charged towards Lin Yu.
Li Dahui looked at her in surprise: "Xiaoyu!"
Lin Yu felt that she was quite brave at this moment. She ran forward and, like Li Dahui, dodged the wild boar.
Having no weapon at hand, she used her fist to smash a blow into the wild boar's head.
The wild boar was immediately stunned and disoriented by the impact.
With renewed vigor, Lin Yu clenched his fist and punched the wild boar's head again.
She felt the wild boar gradually stop moving, but it still didn't stop.
Until Li Dahui called out to her, "Xiaoyu, stop."
Lin Yu then released the wild boar and looked down again.
The wild boar is dead.
She smiled and said, "Uncle Dahui, it's alright now."
Li Dahui nodded: "Yeah, it's alright now. You killed the wild boar."
With the danger over, Li Dahui's speech became incoherent again.
Lin Yu didn't notice; she was only focused on how awesome she was, that she could even kill a wild boar.
Li Dahui hadn't expected Lin Yu to be so strong.
That wild boar weighed several hundred pounds, and she managed to kill it with her fists.
No wonder my cousins agreed to let Xiaoyu come up the mountain with him.
It seems she does have the ability to protect herself.
As for the wild boar, Li Dahui also had his own way of dealing with it.
"Xiaoyu, come with me."
He took Xiaoyu to a cave halfway up the mountain.
The outside was covered with a layer of hanging grass; you had to lift a small hole with your hand before crawling inside.
It is highly concealed.
Lin Yu followed Li Dahui inside.
Surprisingly, it's quite well-stocked.
There were knives, bamboo baskets, and burlap sacks, and water flowed past the back of the cave.
This is Li Dahui's secret base. He usually processes large prey here before taking it to the county town.
Lin Yu helped Li Dahui move a deer and two wild boars into the cave.
They then processed and butchered the three prey together.
"Xiaoyu, I'll take you to sell it, and then I'll give you the money."
Lin Yu nodded in agreement; it would be great if someone could help sell it.
"I'll go with you; you can't carry that much by yourself."
She also wanted to check out the black market in the county town. Last time she went, she was so busy reading gossip that she didn't even notice there was a free market.
Li Dahui knew she wouldn't be a burden, so he agreed.
"Tomorrow, I'll go."

Lin Yu and Li Dahui did not descend the mountain until it got dark.
As soon as they arrived at the foot of the mountain, they saw Lin Laosan standing there waiting for them.
"Xiaoyu, Dahui, you're finally back."
Lin Yu walked over and asked, "Dad, were you waiting for us?"
"Yes, that mountain is so dangerous, I'm just worried about you."
Lin Yu was deeply moved. It had to be her own father; she had never received such treatment in the first half of her life.
She took Lin Laosan's hand and said, "Dad, I'm fine. Uncle Dahui and I caught a pheasant and a rabbit."
Lin Laosan raised an eyebrow: "Oh? You also gained something?"
Lin Yu nodded: "Okay, I'll show you when we get home."
Lin Yu naturally took the fat rabbit she had kicked to death home, while Li Dahui took the pheasant from the trap.
When Lin Yu got home, she took the rabbit out to show her family.
"Look, I kicked it and killed it."
Lin Yi's eyes sparkled: "Sis, you're so amazing! Can you teach me?"
Lin Yu shrugged: "I can't teach you, you're just naturally strong."
After saying that, she ignored her brother's disappointment and started telling the whole family about how she killed the wild boar.
