Nuannuan said she heard her cursing at me from inside her house this morning when she passed by!" Ye Zhaoyu said with a smile.

"Aren't you angry! She insulted you?" Qin Zichuan asked curiously, seeing Ye Zhaoyu smiling happily.
"I'm not angry. She's a stranger to me. It's not worth getting angry. If she insults me in front of me, I'll slap her back and make sure she never dares to show her face again." Ye Zhaoyu said, looking at her fair and tender hands. "Anyway, I'm not the one who will suffer in the end. There are plenty of people who insult me behind my back. I don't care if she's one more."

"Go! No need to rush back." Ye Zhaoyu waved for them to leave quickly.
"I really envy your personality," Wen Nuan said, her eyes sparkling, as she took Ye Zhaoyu's arm after Qin Zichuan left.
"You can do it too, as long as you're on our side of justice and don't back down. Even if you can't win, you should still back down," Ye Zhaoyu advised.
“Your parents must have taught you this so well. I have so much respect for them now.” Wen Nuan liked it even more.
“My dad didn’t teach me that, but my mom did. She said that taking a step back doesn’t necessarily mean you’ll find a brighter future, but taking a step forward definitely will.”
Wen Nuan listened to Ye Zhaoyu's words and thought, "Damn, that makes a lot of sense."
