Chapter 492 Extra: Interstellar Dimension 8

Xia Qingqing initially thought it was a scam. What celebrity would proactively add viewers and say they would send a surprise?

But then she thought about the 100,000 Star Coins she had just tipped off, and realized that the person on the other end really was Maureen.

It's unclear whether the account is managed by Maureen herself or by her team.

Xia Qingqing thought about it but still didn't reply to the message. She wasn't a fan of Mo Lin, and the tip was just something she gave casually.

And that's because she knows she won't be in interstellar space for long, which is why she spends money so freely. If she were in the real world, she wouldn't be willing to casually give someone a 100,000 yuan reward.

To put it bluntly, she doesn't feel any sense of belonging to interstellar currency; what interests her is still the Chinese yuan.

After turning off the computer, Xia Qingqing lay down on the sofa and fell asleep.

Perhaps because people in interstellar space are all tall, even the sofa was much bigger than any Xia Qingqing had ever seen before, and it was incredibly comfortable to sleep on.

Meanwhile, Maureen was complaining to her assistant: "It's so strange. She added me but didn't reply to my messages. If she's not a fan of mine, why would she tip my movie so many Star Coins?"

"Perhaps they didn't see the message you sent?" the assistant tentatively guessed.

Maureen shook her head: "Impossible, she sent me the message immediately after accepting my friend request."

"Oh well, never mind. I should be happy to get 100,000 interstellar coins for free. I'm going to treat myself today."

"Sister Lin, you don't have 100,000. You also paid 40,000 in interstellar tax. Did you forget?" the assistant whispered a reminder.

Interstellar coins are only deposited into Maureen's account after taxes are deducted, so even if she wanted to evade taxes, she couldn't.

Maureen glanced at her assistant and sighed deeply: "Sigh, it's not easy for me to earn money. Life is tough, so I should treat myself well."

The assistant secretly curled her lip. If this wasn't easy, how were people like them from the bottom class supposed to survive?

But there's nothing that can be done about it; she just doesn't have Sister Lin's pretty face or her acting skills.

......

Xia Qingqing stayed in her room for a week, her daily routine consisting of sleeping, eating, watching TV, and playing games.

It just so happened that Morris and Caesar had gone out this week. It wasn't until they finished their work and returned to the Marshal's Mansion that Morris heard the butler report that Xia Qingqing hadn't left her room for a week.

"What does she do all day long?" asked Xize, puzzled.

The butler shook his head: "The marshal instructed his subordinates not to disturb Miss Xia unless necessary, so I don't know what Miss Xia is doing in her room."

"I'll go check it out. I can invite her to have dinner together; maybe we'll get to try some new delicious food," Xize said seriously.

Of course, the other two people present could tell that the last sentence was his real purpose.

Morris nodded: "Yes, go ahead."

Xia Qingqing was eating when the knock came at the door: "Xize, what brings you here? Didn't you say you were going out on business with the Marshal?"

"You've finished dealing with things, why are you eating at this hour? Is this lunch or afternoon tea?" Xize asked, raising an eyebrow.

Xia Qingqing touched her nose: "Hehe, I guess you could call it breakfast."

Xize's eyes widened suddenly: "Lunch? It's already two o'clock in the afternoon."

“Yeah, I just got up,” Xia Qingqing replied.

"Your lifestyle is so irregular. No wonder you don't need to go out and just sleep all day long," Xize said with a hint of disapproval.

If someone like Xia Qingqing went to the army, she probably wouldn't last three days.

Xia Qingqing shrugged nonchalantly: "There's nothing I can do. I don't have to go to school or work, and I don't know where to go for fun on my own."

Nishizawa: "......"

That makes a lot of sense. Damn it, why did he feel a little envious?

Xize shook his head, clearing away all those inappropriate and chaotic thoughts.

He thought for a moment and said, "The Marshal and I are going to Saloma in three days. Would you like to come along?"

This trip to Saloma isn't anything particularly important. Xia Qingqing can go with them on the spaceship, and once they arrive, she can do whatever she wants on her own.

"Can I go?" Xia Qingqing nodded immediately.

“Okay, I’ll talk to the Marshal about this later,” Xize said with a smile.

Xia Qingqing looked up at Xize curiously: "So why did you come to find me? Couldn't you have just sent a message on the personal terminal?"

"Um, well, I was just wondering if I could invite you to dinner tonight," Xize said, sounding a little awkward.

Xia Qingqing suddenly realized: "Oh, that's it. No problem, I'll definitely come on time tonight. Actually, you could have just sent me a message, there's no need to come and invite me in person."

Xize's eyes darted around: "Well, Marshal hasn't had much of an appetite these past few days. I wonder if Miss Xia has any new dishes to improve Marshal's appetite?"

Morris: "..."

There's something I'm speechless about, and I don't know whether I should say it or not.

Xia Qingqing saw through Xize's little scheme at a glance and replied with a smile, "Sure, I'll prepare some dishes that you haven't tried before tonight, I guarantee the Marshal will have a great appetite."

"Then it's settled. You go ahead and eat. I'm leaving now," Xize said, departing contentedly.

That evening, Xia Qingqing went to the dining room early and laid out a table full of delicious food: Bobo chicken, cold noodles, spicy crayfish, grilled skewers, fruit yogurt soup, jelly noodles... She didn't know what Morris liked, but there was bound to be something on the table that would whet his appetite.

Not long after, Morris and Caesar arrived. Caesar swallowed hard as he looked at the table full of all kinds of delicious food.

Xia Qingqing smiled and introduced each dish to the two of them one by one: "These are all dishes that I think are appetizing. Marshal, please try them all and see which one you like."

“Okay,” Morris nodded gently to Xia Qingqing.

Halfway through the meal, Xia Qingqing received a message from Glek, saying that he was off tomorrow and could go out with her.

After consulting with Morris, Xia Qingqing immediately called over Glek.

Glek was already inside the Marshal's Mansion and arrived in less than ten minutes.

As soon as he entered the dining room, he subconsciously saluted Maurice: "Marshal, sir, good day."

"Alright, come and eat. Miss Xia prepared all of this," Xize said with a smile, waving to him.

The four of them finished everything on the table, and at the end, Xia Yunyao even brought out a mille-feuille cake as dessert.

Morris surprisingly enjoyed the food and even asked Xia Qingqing how to make the mille-feuille cake before leaving.
