Chapter 149 Touring Beijing, Camera

Song Ze had already figured out the route. He first took Xia Qingqing and Wang Sisi to the designated location to line up and register. The person in charge of the registration gave the two their dormitory room numbers.

Then, as if familiar with the place, he led the group to the dormitory building.

Xia Qingqing and Wang Sisi are not in the same major, so they are not assigned to the same dormitory, but they are not far apart. Wang Sisi lives on the second floor and Xia Qingqing lives on the third floor.

Wang Sisi looked at Xia Qingqing with some disappointment: "What a pity, I wish I could be in the same dormitory as you."

After spending the last two days together, she really liked Xia Qingqing and had long considered her a good friend.

Xia Qingqing said with a smile, "That's about right. Anyway, we live so close by, you can come and see me anytime you have time."

Friends don't actually need to be together every day; distance makes things better.

They first helped Wang Sisi carry her luggage to the dormitory entrance on the second floor before going to the third floor.

Xia Qingqing pushed open the door to dormitory 302 and saw a girl sitting on the lower bunk making her bed. She stared blankly at the person outside after hearing the door open.

The girl looked to be about eighteen or nineteen years old, with a small face, delicate eyebrows, and very pretty features.

Xia Qingqing greeted her first: "Hi classmate, I'm also in this dormitory, my name is Xia Qingqing."

"Hello, my name is Chen Xiu," Chen Xiu greeted Xia Qingqing in a low voice, barely louder than a mosquito's buzz. If Xia Qingqing hadn't seen her mouth opening and closing, she wouldn't have known she was speaking.

Xia Qingqing walked into the dormitory, and Zhang Hongyan and the others quickly followed, filling the small dormitory room to about half capacity.

Chen Xiu nervously clenched her fingers when she saw the extra person in the room. She stopped making the bed and sat on her own bed, feeling somewhat at a loss.

Zhang Hongyan saw the pretty little girl sitting on the bed and greeted her warmly: "Hello little girl, I'm Qingqing's mother. From now on, Qingqing will live with you. You two can take care of each other."

Chen Xiu nodded obediently, revealing a shy smile: "Hello Auntie, I will get along well with Xia."

Their dormitory was a four-person room. The room wasn't very big. There were two bunk beds on either side of the wall, and two tables in the middle, which seemed to be used for storing things and studying. There was also a cabinet near the door, which had four shelves, each of which could be locked individually, and could be used to store some valuable items.

Song Ze pointed to the empty bunk bed and asked, "Qingqing, which bed do you want to sleep in? I'll wipe the bed down for you first and then make the bed."

There are no specific rules about who sleeps in which bed in the dormitory, so it's first-come, first-served.

When Xia Qingqing was in college in her previous life, the dormitory conditions were quite good. All the rooms had bunk beds with desks underneath, and each person had their own small wardrobe. Everyone had a curtain on their bed, creating their own little world.

If she had to choose now, she would still prefer the top bunk, because the top bunk is much cleaner than the bottom bunk. The bottom bunk is inevitably used by many people or has things left on it. Although she is not a germaphobe, she doesn't want just anyone to be able to sit on her bed.

Xia Qingqing quickly made a decision and looked at Chen Xiu, asking, "Chen Xiu, do you mind if I sleep in the bunk above you?"

Although the bunk bed next to her was empty, she didn't know what kind of person would live in the lower bunk. Chen Xiu in front of her didn't seem difficult to get along with, so it would be nice to live with her.

Chen Xiu looked at Xia Qingqing with some surprise: "Ah, but no one has chosen the lower bunk next to it yet. You can choose that bed."

She quickly pointed to the spot next to her. She didn't understand why Xia Qingqing would give up the perfectly good lower bunk and choose the upper bunk that required climbing up and down. It was so high up and it was scary to look at. What if she accidentally fell down while sleeping? That would be the end of her.

"I personally prefer the top bunk, so if you don't mind, I'd like to sleep in the top bunk of yours," Xia Qingqing explained.

"I don't mind," Chen Xiu readily agreed.

After obtaining the other party's consent, Xia Qingqing took out a clean cloth from her package and laid it on Chen Xiu's bed to prevent Chen Xiu's quilt from getting dirty when cleaning the dust on the upper bunk.

Seeing her actions, Chen Xiu immediately felt a good impression of her beautiful roommate, who seemed very polite.

Xia Qingqing never got to do the chores like wiping the bed and blankets; Zhang Hongyan and the other two took turns doing them.

In the end, Song Ze got the job of wiping the bed, Zhang Hongyan got the job of making the quilts, and Xia Heping could only watch.

The small dormitory was a bit crowded with five or six people standing there, so Xia Qingqing pulled Chen Xiu and Gou Dan to the corridor for some fresh air.

Xia Qingqing and Chen Xiu chatted casually, with Xia Qingqing asking questions and Chen Xiu answering. They were both economics students and even in the same class.

Chen Xiu's family is local, and she had only been in the dormitory for a short time. However, her family was quite busy with work, so they went back to work after dropping her off.

Zhang Hongyan and her team worked quickly, and within half an hour they had tidied up the bed neatly.

Following Xia Qingqing's instructions, Song Ze hung a sheet on her bed. It could be tied up with a rope when she was sleeping or changing clothes, and then lowered to protect her privacy.

Chen Xiu's eyes lit up, but she didn't bring any extra sheets this time, planning to bring an old sheet from home later.

After Xia Qingqing finished packing her things, she said goodbye to Chen Xiu and then went out with her parents and younger brother.

Song Ze pulled out a piece of paper covered in dense writing from his pocket. Xia Qingqing looked at it and said, "Qingqing, take a look. This is my travel plan. Let's go to..."

Xia Qingqing quickly glanced at the plan above and gave Song Ze a sweet smile: "Thank you for your hard work, Ze."

Zhang Hongyan and her group would only stay in Beijing for two days, but Song Ze had packed their schedule full, showing his sincerity.

Song Ze first led the group on a tour of the school, giving Zhang Hongyan and Xia Heping a detailed understanding of where their daughter would be attending school.

What surprised Xia Qingqing the most was that Song Ze actually carried a camera with him. She had wondered why Song Ze was carrying a small bag.

Song Ze took many photos of the Xia family as souvenirs, and of course, he didn't forget to secretly take a photo of himself and Xia Qingqing together.

After touring the school, it was lunchtime, so Song Ze took everyone to a state-run restaurant for lunch.

In the afternoon, we continued to visit other well-known attractions in Beijing.

Throughout the entire day, Song Ze accompanied Zhang Hongyan with games and meals, showing extreme attentiveness, which greatly improved Zhang Hongyan's impression of him.
