Ahua remained silent, looking at the sky and the ground but not at Ali.
"What's wrong with you? Aren't you happy that Abao and the others came back safely?" Ali asked, puzzled.
He really had no idea what his female was thinking; it was all so complicated.
Seeing this, the females nearby probably guessed what Ahua was thinking.
A female who was usually on good terms with Ahua pursed her lips and asked in her place, "Chief, which tribe does the little female you brought back belong to?"
"You mean Qingqing? She's our tribe's goddess. We were so lucky to have her save Abao and Ali in time, otherwise they would have been captured by the Mad Lion tribe," Ali said with a smile.
"What? She's a goddess?" the female who asked the question exclaimed, dumbfounded.
Even Ahua couldn't help but turn her gaze back to Xia Qingqing. The discomfort she had felt earlier vanished, and she glared at Ali fiercely: "You idiot, why didn't you say so earlier? Hurry up and invite the goddess to sit inside."
Ali shook his head in confusion. He wanted to say something too, but he just didn't have the chance.
Upon returning home, he found his female companion throwing a tantrum, so he had no choice but to find a way to appease her.
With a smile on her face, Ahua ran up to Xia Qingqing and said, "Goddess, thank you for saving Abao and the others. Please come inside and rest with me."
"No need to be so polite, you can just call me Qingqing," Xia Qingqing said with a smile.
Although Ahua had never met her, she was not unfamiliar with Ahua, because Ali never hid from others when using the trading system, so she had seen Ahua and the two little ones through the system panel.
Ahua nodded shyly: "Okay."
Then she turned around and glared at her two sons: "You two, I'll deal with you later."
"Mommy, we know we were wrong," Abao cleverly hugged her waist, pleading in a childish voice.
Not to be outdone, Ah Bei blinked his big eyes at Ah Hua and said, "We really know we were wrong, Mom, please don't be angry with us, we'll never do it again."
"When have you ever said this? Don't expect me to believe you again this time," Ahua sneered.
Then, ignoring the two brats who were trying to escape punishment, he pulled Xia Qingqing into the cave.
The caves where the orcs live are all carefully constructed. On sunny days, sunlight can shine in, and on rainy days, no rainwater can seep in, making them quite comfortable and pleasant to live in.
As soon as Xia Qingqing sat down on the stone bench, Ahua brought over a bowl of fruit: "Qingqing, these are freshly picked fruits from yesterday. Why don't you try them and see how they taste?"
"Okay, don't bother anymore, sit down and rest for a bit," Xia Qingqing said, looking at Ahua's slightly red and swollen eyes. It was obvious that Abao and Abei, those two naughty kids, had been crying because they had sneaked out.
After everyone was seated, Ali finally had the time to properly ask Xia Qingqing what exactly had happened:
"Qingqing, you still haven't told me how you got here. Didn't the system say that the host can't travel to other planes?"
Xia Qingqing shook her head and said truthfully, "Actually, I don't know either. I just woke up and suddenly found myself in the forest. Before I could figure out what was going on, I saw A Bao and the others fighting with three lions. I recognized A Bao and the others, so I went over to help them."
Upon hearing this, Abao immediately nodded in agreement, his tone full of admiration: "That's right, Auntie is amazing. She shot out a few arrows in a flash and killed those orcs."
As expected of beastmen from the primitive world, even a child of a few years old can talk about bloody things like killing without batting an eye.
Ali didn't know that Xia Qingqing had special abilities. When he heard his son mention arrows, he thought it was an ordinary bow and arrow.
He immediately felt a surge of admiration for Xia Qingqing: "She's amazing, no wonder she's called a goddess."
Even he wouldn't dare boast that he could kill three strong orcs without getting hurt.
"Ali, stop using that 'goddess' thing all the time, it's really annoying," Xia Qingqing said. If she didn't know Ali well, she would have suspected that Ali was deliberately being sarcastic.
At first, Ali might not have understood Xia Qingqing's background, but after spending several years together, how could Ali not know that she was an ordinary person from another world?
Ali knew that Xia Qingqing didn't like being called that, so he chuckled and scratched his head, "I just forgot for a moment. I'll definitely remember next time."
While the group was chatting happily, news of the goddess's descent had already spread throughout the entire tribe.
"Have you heard? The goddess has come to our Tiger Tribe."
"Are you serious? Where is the goddess? I want to see her too."
"The goddess is in the chieftain's cave now. I just saw her. She is exceptionally beautiful, and her skin is so white it seems to glow."
"But why did the goddess suddenly descend? Has something special happened? Is our tribe about to face a great calamity?"
"You're asking for trouble! If you can't speak properly, just shut up."
“I know, it’s because Abao and Abei from the clan chief’s family were in danger, and the goddess came specifically to save them.”
"Wow, no wonder he's the clan leader's little brat, he's so lucky."
"Yes, yes, I wonder how long the goddess will stay in the tribe. I also want to see what the goddess looks like."
"How about we go to the clan chief's house together?"
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!"
In no time, the area outside Ali's cave was packed with a huge crowd of people.
Everyone was pushing and shoving each other, but no one dared to be the first to come in.
With such a commotion outside, how could Ali not hear it? He walked out of the cave with a stern face and asked the crowd, "What are you all doing gathered here?"
"Chief, we came to see the goddess. Is she in your cave right now?"
Ali smiled and said, "Don't worry, the goddess won't be leaving anytime soon. I plan to hold a welcoming ceremony for her tonight, so you should all go and prepare."
Everyone was incredibly excited upon hearing this: "Great! Let's go prepare right away!"
Night fell quickly, and the beastmen who had gone out hunting had long since returned, bringing back the freshest bison.
Hearing that a welcoming ceremony would be held that evening, they immediately cleaned up a whole bison, preparing to roast it.
To blend in with the local customs, Xia Qingqing changed into the clothes Ahua had given her—a long dress made of animal hide, and a pair of bohemian sandals.
When Ali brought Xia Qingqing to the open space, a burst of enthusiastic cheers immediately erupted from the crowd:
"Goddess, Goddess, Goddess..."
