As soon as Qin Chuan got home, he noticed the unusually excited smile on his younger sister's face, and instantly all his fatigue vanished.
"Xin Xin, why are you so happy? Did something good happen today?"
"This is fantastic news! Brother, look what this is!" Qin Chuxin mysteriously pulled out a manila envelope from behind her back.
Qin Chu'an's pupils suddenly contracted: "Is it my admission notice?"
Qin Chuxin nodded happily: "That's right, brother, hurry up and open it. I've been holding back from opening it because I wanted to wait for you to come back and open it yourself."
For a moment, Qin Chu'an didn't know what words to use to describe her feelings.
He opened the brown paper bag and took out a thin admission notice. The contents were simple, basically stating that he had been successfully admitted to Beijing North University and that he should report to the school within the specified time.
Qin Chuxin sincerely congratulated him, "Brother, congratulations! Can you finally relax now?"
"Yes, I'm very happy," Qin Chu'an said, a clear smile curving her lips, her eyes shining brightly.
"Sigh, I wonder when my acceptance letter will arrive. Brother, do you think I didn't pass the exam?" Qin Chuxin sighed with some worry.
Qin Chuan flicked her finger at her forehead: "What nonsense are you talking about? How could you not pass the exam? Even if you really didn't get into Beijing Normal University, there's no way you could have a problem with a normal college in the provincial capital."
Qin Chuxin shook her head, clearing away the bad thoughts in her mind: "Then I'll wait a few more days. If I still don't receive my admission notice in a few days, how about we invite Xia Qingqing over for dinner first?"
She wasn't sure how long Xia Qingqing could stay in her hometown, and she worried that if she delayed any longer, Xia Qingqing would go straight back to Beijing.
"Mmm," Qin Chu'an responded softly, gently rubbing her younger sister's head.
"You don't need to worry too much. The admission notices from different schools are not sent out at the same time."
Qin Chuxin slapped the hand off her head: "Hey, I'm already 18 years old, can you please stop touching my head? I seriously suspect that it's because you always touch my head that I'm so much shorter than you now."
After saying that, she glared angrily at Qin Chu'an.
"Haha," Qin Chu'an laughed, amused by her.
"Is it possible that you can only grow to this height?"
Actually, Qin Chuxin isn't short; at 165cm, she's considered tall among the girls in her class. However, Qin Chuan has grown rapidly in the past two years and is now 183cm.
Qin Chuxin snorted unconvinced: "Don't you even think about who you owe your height to? If I hadn't cooked you delicious food every day, would you have grown this tall?"
"Yes, that's right, I'm so tall thanks to Xinxin," Qin Chuan said with a smile.

Three days later, Qin Chuxin was washing vegetables in the kitchen when she suddenly heard someone knocking on the door, and her heart tightened for no reason.
They awkwardly walked out of the kitchen, and sure enough, they saw the familiar mailman after opening the front door.
The postman who delivered Qin Chu'an's college admission letter last time gave her a thumbs up: "Wow, congratulations, young lady! Here's your college admission letter. You two siblings are both amazing!"
"Thank you," Qin Chuxin said excitedly, bowing deeply to the postman.
After closing the courtyard gate, Qin Chuxin quickly walked back to the main room, took a deep breath, and then opened the brown paper bag.
It wasn't until she saw the words "Beijing Normal University" clearly printed on the admission notice that Qin Chuxin believed she had really been admitted.
When Qin Chuan returned, she also heard the good news: "That's great, Xin Xin, congratulations!"
"Congratulations, congratulations!" Qin Chuxin said with a bright smile, her eyes seemingly filled with stars.
"Brother, let's go to Sister Qingqing's house together tomorrow and invite her to come over for dinner the day after tomorrow."
Qin Chuan nodded: "No problem, I'll take you there on my bike tomorrow."

Qin Chuan and the others already knew Xia Qingqing's address, but in the past, it was always Xia Qingqing who came to find them, and they rarely took the initiative to go to Xia Qingqing.
After arriving in the village, the two asked several people and finally found the Xia family.
The gate to the Xia family's courtyard was open, but Qin Chu'an and his sister did not go in directly. Instead, they politely stepped forward and knocked on the door: "Is anyone home?"
Upon hearing the commotion, Gou Dan immediately ran out. After a moment of confusion upon seeing who it was, his eyes lit up: "Brother Chu An, Sister Xin Xin, what brings you here?"
Qin Chuxin was also happy to see Gou Dan: "Lele, we're here to see your sister. Is she at home?"
“I’m here, in the room. Come in with me,” Gou Dan waved to the two of them.
"Sis, come out here quickly, Sister Xinxin and the others are looking for you."
Hearing Gou Dan's shout, Xia Qingqing put down her pen and quickly left the room.
Upon seeing the visitors, they said the same thing as Gou Dan: "Xiao An, Xin Xin, what brings you here?"
Qin Chu'an scratched his head sheepishly: "Sister Qingqing, Xin Xin and I are here to invite you to our house for dinner tomorrow. Do you have time tomorrow?"
Xia Qingqing exclaimed with delight, "Did you receive your acceptance letters? That's wonderful! Congratulations! I promise I'll be there on time tomorrow!"
"Thank you, Sister Qingqing," Qin Chu'an said with a shy smile.
"What admission letter?" Gou Dan was completely confused and couldn't figure it out.
Xia Qingqing explained with a smile, "It's your sister Xinxin's university admission notice."
"Wow, that's amazing!" Gou Dan exclaimed, then immediately smiled and congratulated Qin Chu'an and the other person on getting into university.
Qin Chuxin smiled gently: "Lele, are you coming to our house for dinner with Sister Qingqing tomorrow?"
Dog Egg happily asked, "Can I come along too?"
"Of course you can come! My brother and I are very happy that you're willing to come," Qin Chuxin said with a smile.
"Then I want to go too. Sister, will you take me with you?" Gou Dan looked at Xia Qingqing standing next to him, his eyes pleading.
Since it was the Qin siblings who took the initiative to invite Gou Dan to go together, Xia Qingqing naturally had no objections and readily agreed.
She teased Gou Dan on purpose: "You'll need to prepare a gift for Xin Xin's college entrance celebration banquet, what are you planning to give?"
Qin Chuxin wanted to argue that there was no need to bring gifts, as long as the person came, but Xia Qingqing stopped her with a look, so she could only shut her mouth in compliance.
Gou Dan frowned in distress. He thought he could happily go along for a free meal, but he didn't expect that he would have to bring a gift. He would have to think carefully about what gift he could give to Sister Xin Xin.
