The filthy hold was filled with a nauseating stench as soon as the hatch was opened.

Deng first prepared to send someone in to take a look.
Leng Lie shook his head at him and said loudly, "This ship is leaking and will sink soon."
If you don't come out soon, you'll all perish at the bottom of the sea!
Finally, a young woman timidly peeked out.
Upon seeing the sunlight, she immediately closed her eyes tightly and didn't open them again for quite a while.
"Are they really Chinese police?"
Excitement suddenly flashed across her thin, pale face, and her eyes lit up. "Come out, everyone! We're really saved!"
Low sobs and conversations could be heard coming from inside the cabin.
Soon, the crowd surged out in droves.
Several men with fierce appearances immediately changed their expressions upon seeing a group of soldiers carrying weapons, adopting the same overjoyed and tearful expressions as the others.
"Sir, those few might be problematic."
His cold, fierce gaze fixed on the group of people.
They glanced at him quickly, gave him a fawning smile, and then lowered their heads again.
Deng Xian also noticed those people and nodded slightly.
Everyone came out.
Leng Lie and Jiang You, carrying flashlights, went inside one after the other.
Five bloodied corpses came into the range of the flashlight.
One of the bodies lay crooked in a corner, already highly decomposed and covered with maggots; another had also begun to rot, emitting a foul stench.
The other three bodies looked like they had just died, but their bodies were covered in teeth marks, with almost no good flesh left.
Especially the arteries in the neck, arms, and thighs were bitten so badly that the flesh was almost gone.
