He shoved aside the cold-faced uncle who was protecting her, and said with a smile, "Yes, I helped you kill them, aren't you happy?"

Guan Yuxi gave him a slight bow.
Leng Hongxing was stunned.
He unconsciously tucked the dagger back into his waistband, and his greedy gaze softened.
"You're still as smart as ever!"
He smiled wryly, his gaze returning to its usual arrogant and composed self.
It was as if they were still the best of friends, as if their sullenness was just a dream.
Uncle Leng was somewhat puzzled by the interaction between the two.
He tried to speak up to warn her, but two bodyguards held guns to his head, and he dared not move.
"I have never changed, but you have."
Guan Yuxi stared at him intently.
In just over a year, Leng Hongxing seemed to have been injected with growth hormones, transforming from a pretty boy into a weathered middle-aged man.
However, she was clearly not referring to his appearance.
She knew, and he understood.
