The two of them got on the sleeper car of the train. Han Zheng bought two lower berths. After putting his luggage away, he sat down to rest.
Yun Huaying took out the water bottle and other things from her backpack and said to him, "You didn't get enough sleep last night. Try to catch up on a few more hours of sleep in the car."
Han Zheng wasn't actually tired. He used to be on missions outside, often working day and night, and only sleeping two or three hours during busy times. He was already used to it. However, she was concerned, so he smiled and nodded: "Okay, I'll go to bed and rest later."
There were not many passengers in the sleeper car. They were all lying in their seats to rest or reading books or newspapers. After Han Zheng lay down to rest, Yun Huaying took out a bundle of old newspapers from her bag and began to read them one by one.
Han Zheng lay on his side, looking at her, and did not fall asleep immediately.
The beautiful and quiet girl leaned against the wall, her long black hair was blown by the breeze, a little messy but still flowing, her long, slender eyelashes trembled like butterfly wings, her fair neck curve was tight and slender, her perfect and delicate profile was flawless, the warm autumn sun shone on her, her beauty was captivating.
Yun Huaying finished reading a newspaper and put it on the table next to her, but she saw that he was not asleep, his eyes were open, staring at her, his eyes flashing slightly: "Can't sleep?"
"I'm daydreaming with my eyes open." Han Zheng answered her with a curl of his lips.
Yun Huaying: "...did you pick up money in your dream?"
Han Zheng chuckled, "I dreamed of something happier than picking up money."
Seeing her in his dream and doing what he desires with her in his dream is what makes him happiest.
Yun Huaying intuitively felt that the hidden meaning in his words was related to her, so she wisely did not ask any more questions or chat with him. She moved her body slightly to avoid his sight and continued to read the newspaper while turning sideways.
Han Zheng saw her turn her head away, the curve of her mouth widened a little, and a smile appeared in the depths of her eyes.
The girl he likes appears cold on the surface, but is actually very simple and shy inside.
After Yun Huaying finished reading a bundle of newspapers, she saw that Han Zheng had fallen asleep. She quietly got up and went to the bathroom, then came back and lay down to rest.
I slept until I woke up naturally. When I opened my eyes, I saw Han Zheng had gotten up early and was sitting by the bed reading a book. I raised my wrist to look at my watch and saw that it was already five o'clock in the afternoon. I immediately turned over and sat up.
"Huaying, wake up."
Han Zheng woke up early, and seeing that she was sleeping soundly, he didn't make any noise to wake her up.
The passengers in this carriage were all of high quality. They spoke in low voices. It was very quiet with no one making any noise and no one walking around. Yun Huaying fell asleep accidentally.
She simply fixed her hair and said to him, "It's time for dinner. I'll go to the dining car to buy some food."
"I'll go."
Han Zheng had been waiting for her to wake up. As a man, he would naturally take charge of the task of running away. He took the lunch box from his bag and went to buy food.
After he left, Yun Huaying unnoticeably took out wet wipes from the space, took off her mask, wiped her face and neck briefly, and then took out the braised pork that she had packed from the state-owned restaurant in Xinjin City that morning and the pickled vegetables that Lin Shan had made herself.
Han Zheng quickly bought the food, two boxes of rice, two chicken legs, and a small bag of sweet persimmon cakes.
The portions in state-owned restaurants these days are very generous. The braised pork is made with real pork, fat and lean, and greasy. Han Zheng knew that she didn't like fatty meat very much, so he picked all the lean ones and put them in her bowl.
Seeing that the bowl was piled up like a mountain, Yun Huaying quickly blocked his chopsticks and said, "I've had enough of this. You can eat the rest."
"These are just a few pieces of meat. You should eat more."
Han Zheng picked out two leaner pieces for her and put both chicken legs into her bowl. "You don't like fatty meat. These two chicken legs are not fat. Eat them all."
"One is enough for me."
Yun Huaying gave him one, put it in his bowl, then covered her own bowl with her hand and started eating with her head down.
Seeing that she insisted on eating only one, Han Zheng curled his lips helplessly, picked up the bowl and started eating.
At this time, the train arrived at the next station. No passengers got off their carriage, but a few passengers got on.
They came up with large and small bags, smelled the rich fragrance in the carriage, and all glanced at the golden and shiny braised pork on their dining table. They couldn't help swallowing.
Yun Huaying didn't like being watched while eating, so she quickly finished the food in her bowl and picked up the glass bottle of pickled vegetables next to her. "Han Zheng, do you want some more pickles?"
"A little more."
The pickled vegetables made by Lin Shan taste very good. They are spicy and delicious and go well with rice. They are perfect to be eaten with greasy and oily braised pork.
Seeing that she had finished eating, Han Zheng handed her the persimmon cake he had bought earlier, "Huaying, have a persimmon cake."
"I'm full, I can't eat anymore."
While she was speaking, two more female passengers arrived, and with their arrival, a strong and pungent fragrance wafted over.
A young woman in a red and white plaid blouse walked ahead, carrying a suitcase. She stopped in front of Han Zheng and the others, looked at the seat numbers on the bed, and called out to the back, "Mom, our seats are here."
A middle-aged woman dressed in extravagant red and green clothes and wearing red lipstick came up from behind. Her voice was sharp and thin. She opened her mouth and ordered arrogantly: "I don't want to sleep on the top bunk. You quickly change to the lower bunk."
Yun Huaying had just turned her back and was wiping her mouth. Before she could even turn around, she heard the young woman standing next to her commanding with the same arrogant attitude, "I'll trade seats with you. Pack your things and sleep on the upper bunks."
Han Zheng had just put down his chopsticks, and he obviously didn't like her attitude either. He replied coldly, "We bought the lower bunk bed specially, and we won't change it."
Yun Huaying sat up straight now, glanced at the woman indifferently, stood up without saying a word, and silently cleared the dishes on the table.
The young woman hadn't noticed her before, but now, after seeing her cool, beautiful face, jealousy instantly surfaced on her face. She looked at her with an extremely unfriendly look, deliberately raised her chin, and put on an arrogant face: "Two lower bunks, how much do you want? Name your price."
The middle-aged woman behind also came over with luggage. Her eyes were glued to Yun Huaying, and she kept looking her up and down, as if she was looking at some goods.
The looks in their eyes were undisguised and disgusting. Yun Huaying frowned, "What are you looking at?"
Her voice was cold, and Yuan Xiuqin's face tightened in fear. Just as she was about to speak, Han Zheng also stood up and said in a clear tone, "We won't change our lower berth. If you insist on changing, you can discuss it with someone else, or perhaps ask the flight attendant to make a separate arrangement."
Yun Huaying had already put away the lunch boxes and other things. Without even giving them a glance, she spoke to Han Zheng in a much softer voice, "I'll go wash the dishes."
"I'll go wash it later."
Han Zheng took the cloth bag from her hand and wiped the soup stains on the dining table.
