"Ding-ling-ling... Ding-ling-ling..."
Zhong Furong came to the entrance of the underground laboratory, but did not rush in directly. Instead, she took out something similar to a bell and shook it outside to signal the docking.
After the person guarding the entrance confirmed the code, he came over and said a few words to her, then immediately turned around and went to report into the underground cave.
About three or four minutes later, a short but agile man came out, his face clearly excited: "You got it so quickly?"
"They are all out today, and I found my opportunity."
Zhong Furong immediately handed him the small password box. "I've searched through everything in her room. The thing should be in this password box. I don't know the password. Send it back and have the technicians crack it."
"Are you sure it's in here?" The man was cautious.
"I went through all her things, even reading the books page by page. Everything else was just ordinary stuff. If they were sure she had the map, it could only be in this safe. Her safe was also hidden deep down, and it took a long time to find it. I think the thing could only be in here."
The man thought for a moment and, out of caution, said, "I'll deliver this first. Don't do anything on your end until you're sure you have the map."
"good."
Zhong Furong had a smile on her face that was completely different from her usual one, cold and sinister. "The higher-ups are urging us to send it back urgently. Send it back today."
The man nodded and said, "I'll go pack some things and leave soon."
"Brother Jing, please tell the leader that I have completed this task. Ask him to transfer me back as soon as possible." Zhong Furong changed her attitude towards him again, pulling his arm and acting coquettishly.
The man called Brother Jing seemed accustomed to her coquettish behavior, and his expression did not change much. "Hurry up and find out the whereabouts of Yun Shaofan's family. Once you've done that, leave the rest to me, and you can go back."
"knew."
Zhong Furong went to the county town every day these days. All the people they had instigated were assisting in the search. Almost all of them were searching house to house with photos. They turned the county town upside down but still couldn't find the person.
They didn't find anyone in the city, but Yun Huaying did visit her family often. However, she was always extremely cautious and they would always get rid of her after following her for a while. Now they are basically certain that the Yun family was settled by her in Yang County, and they have expanded the search range to the surrounding rural areas.
Brother Jing was in a hurry to deliver something, so he went back to pack some simple luggage and left with Zhong Furong. They only walked a short distance before they separated.
Han Zheng and his companions and the two wolves followed quietly behind. When they saw the two of them separate, they looked at each other and exchanged a tacit look.
Yun Huaying patted the little wolf cub gently and asked it to accompany Han Zheng to chase Brother Jing. She kept gesturing with her hands and smeared some medicine on the sharp claws of the mother and cub that would not harm them. After the magic vine gave them orders through voice transmission, the two wolves acted separately.
"Hanako, be careful."
Han Zheng gave her some instructions and then left with the little wolf cub.
After they left, Yun Huaying and Huilang continued to follow Zhong Furong, following her slowly and keeping a distance from her.
Zhong Furong had no idea that someone was following her. She thought that she had completed the mission today and would be transferred back to the headquarters soon. She was in a very happy mood and walked with a breeze, not realizing that her tragic end was about to come.
When they reached the mountain stream, only a mile or two away from the production team, Yun Huaying asked the magic vine to give the gray wolf a task: "Chase her and bite her, but don't kill her. Leave her a breath."
Zhong Furong, who was walking in front, perhaps out of her instinctive sensitivity to danger, paused, grasped the dagger at her waist with her right hand, and looked around cautiously: "Who's hiding behind me? Sneaky as hell, come out."
When she thought someone was following her, a huge and strong wolf slowly emerged from behind a big tree trunk.
A pair of brown eyes filled with cold bloodthirstiness stared at her like the god of death.
Looking into its eyes, Zhong Furong's hair stood on end, a chill ran through her body, and her legs trembled in fear: "Wolf!"
“Ouch!”
A long howl seemed to answer her: I am the wolf!
"ah!"
In the silent forest, Zhong Furong's sharp and piercing cries came one after another, scaring the wild game in the forest and making them flee in all directions.
The gray wolf had been instructed not to bite her to death, so it chased her and played with her all the way, occasionally giving her a claw, and soon made her bleed.
Zhong Furong had just walked nearly ten miles back and forth on the mountain road, and her legs were already exhausted. Now she was being chased by a wild wolf, and she used all her strength to save her life.
She really didn't expect to meet a wild wolf here. She was so scared that she almost lost her soul. She screamed and stumbled all the way, rolling and crawling as she ran madly towards the place where there were people at the foot of the mountain.
"Oh my god, who is that?"
"The voice sounds familiar. What's chasing her?"
"It seems to be the new educated youth."
"Yes, yes, it's Zhong Furong. What happened to her? Why is she being chased by such a big dog?"
"Who has such a big dog?"
"It's not from our production team. We don't have this kind of dog in our team."
“…”
During these few days of rest, the villagers who had nothing to do were chopping firewood on the mountainside, which was just opposite the mountain pass where Zhong Furong came from.
"Help, help, help!"
"Come and chase away the wolves."
"Help, Captain, please save me! A wolf is chasing me."
