In the evening, Han Zheng came back after a busy day. Song Nanfeng and Yuan Bing came with him, as well as a man of the same age as them. They also brought a lot of gifts.
After everyone entered the room, Han Zheng introduced her: "Huaying, you meet Yuan Bing. This is his cousin Jiang Hanji, and he is also our brother."
Jiang Hanji was about the same height as Yuan Bing, a bit chubby, with a round baby face and two dimples when he smiled. He greeted her generously, "Hello, sister-in-law. I'm half a year younger than Brother Zheng. We're close brothers. I was his intelligence specialist when we were little."
Yun Huaying smiled slightly, stretched out her hand and shook his, "Welcome, please take a seat."
Song Nanfeng was completely unceremonious. While they were talking, he had already gone to the kitchen to get chopsticks to pick up some food. He stuffed the palm-sized meat pie into his stomach in two bites, chewing it while saying, "Delicious, delicious."
"Virtue." Han Zheng rolled his eyes at him.
Yun Huaying invited the two guests to sit down and quickly made them some tea. "Yuan Bing, Jiang Hanji, have a cup of tea and some cakes first. The food will be ready in ten minutes."
"Okay, thank you, sister-in-law." Jiang Hanji took the tea with both hands, behaving very politely.
Han Zheng washed his hands and saw several large dishes on the kitchen chopping board. He asked with a smile, "Huaying, do you want my help?"
"No need. You've been busy all day, so you must be hungry. Go eat some pancakes first. I'll stir-fry two side dishes."
Han Zheng did not rest last night. He personally interrogated the captured people during the day without closing his eyes. He ate a lot of food in the morning and at noon. He was young and energetic, but his stomach had already started to rebel.
He had heard Song Nanfeng talk about what she had done in the hospital today. She had also been busy and hard outside all day. He leaned over and whispered, "Just make a few home-cooked dishes. Don't work too hard."
"There aren't many dishes." Yun Huaying curled the corners of her mouth slightly.
Han Zheng took the opportunity to step forward and steal a kiss on her pink lips, then walked out with a smile in his eyes.
After he came over and sat down, Jiang Hanji joked with a smile, "Brother Zheng, you are so lucky. How did you find such a beautiful sister-in-law?"
"Fate is predestined." Han Zheng said proudly.
Song Nanfeng rolled his eyes and started eating the second meat pie in his hand. He also called out to them: "Eat it, this meat pie tastes amazing, even better than the meat pie at the state-owned restaurant on Chaoyang Street."
Han Zheng stood up and fetched chopsticks. "Huaying is a good cook. The meat patties she makes are amazing. Let's have some as a snack first."
When Yun Huaying brought out the dishes, there were only two meat patties left on the plate on the table. "You guys can eat these two meat patties. I ate them before when I was frying them."
"Eat it after dinner."
Han Zheng stood up and went to the kitchen to serve the dishes, and others also stood up to help.
Seeing the delicious dishes on the table, Song Nanfeng licked his lips and swallowed his saliva, "Huaying, Zhengzi said that you are a good cook. I think you are very good at cooking. You are definitely a famous chef."
All the dishes prepared tonight were home-cooked dishes, mostly Han Zheng's favorites, including pork with preserved vegetables, braised pork feet, garlic spareribs, salt-baked chicken, scallion omelet, pickled fish fillet, a braised dish, and a vegetable dish. The table was filled with eight dishes.
The Yuan Bing brothers helped serve the food, and after she came over and sat down, they also politely thanked her: "Huaying (sister-in-law), thank you for your hard work."
"You're welcome."
Yun Huaying sat down next to Han Zheng and pointed at three of the dishes. "These three dishes are a little spicy, the others are not spicy."
"We can eat less spicy food." Yuan Bing said with a smile.
Han Zheng took the chopsticks and took off the chicken leg first, then put it into her bowl and called out to the others: "Eat, help yourself to the dishes."
"Hehe, Brother Zheng, we won't be polite to you and sister-in-law." Jiang Hanji grinned.
Yun Huaying hadn't made salt-baked chicken in a long time. Tonight, she made this dish in her space, using the salt-baking powder she'd stockpiled from her previous life. After trying the chicken leg, she was very satisfied with the taste and recommended it to them: "The salt-baked chicken is pretty good. You guys should try it. The small dish next to it is the dipping sauce."
Han Zheng had just washed his hands and started tearing the chicken into eight pieces, letting them eat them themselves.
“Wow, that tastes good.”
Jiang Hanji likes this dish. It looks like ordinary steamed chicken, but it tastes much better than ordinary steamed chicken.
"Huaying, you can open a restaurant with your cooking skills." Song Nanfeng's evaluation was the most realistic.
Yun Huaying smiled and said, "If I have the chance in the future, I'll really consider opening a restaurant. You guys must come and support me."
"It's a must."
Everyone nodded in agreement.
Speaking of this, Han Zheng also said to her, "Huaying, you mentioned before that you wanted to buy a house. Han Ji has a lot of resources. He currently has more than ten houses to buy, including courtyard houses and villas, as well as units and shops in good locations. He just brought the information. After dinner, you can take a look at the houses. If you like any, ask him to take you to complete the formalities tomorrow."
Yun Huaying's eyes lit up, and she said to Jiang Hanji, "Hanji, I'd like to trouble you to introduce me to them after dinner."
"Sister-in-law, don't be so polite. Brother Zheng and I are good brothers. If you need any help in the future, just give me a call. I promise to be there whenever you call."
Jiang Hanji has a young face and when he smiles he looks like a simple and innocent little brother next door, but Yun Huaying does not look down on him at all. People like him and Yuan Bing are carefully cultivated by aristocratic families. They are all smart and capable people. Making friends with them will only benefit one's future development.
She didn't hesitate to be polite with them and offered her sincerity: "You should have heard about the Yun family. What I can offer now is medical skills and funds. If you need anything, you can contact me at any time."
