Chapter 4 Your method is too extreme

Five minutes later, Yun Huaying came out of the registration point with joy.

After walking a distance, she smoothed her scattered hair, revealing a beautiful face with delicate features. The smile on her face had disappeared. "I let you trick me, and now my revenge is here. First step, Fang Xue, Fang Shuang, your good days are coming, so enjoy them and don't let my kindness down."

She walked along the road for less than half a mile when a female student with a doll-like haircut came towards her. Seeing her, she called out, "Huaying."

Yun Huaying stopped and called out her name naturally: "Lin Shan."

Lin Shan is her classmate. They were in the same class and deskmate in junior high and high school. The two have a very good relationship and can be considered true best friends.

Lin Shan had gone to the family quarters to look for her, but when she saw her here, she immediately ran over, looking worried: "Huaying, I just ran into Li Dalong before lunch. He said he saw your name on the educated youth list at his eldest brother's place, and he confirmed that it was you who signed up to go to the countryside, and not someone else with the same name. What's going on?

Before she could answer, Lin Shan started chattering, "Didn't you take the assessment for the textile factory's infirmary? With your grades, you're sure to pass. Why do you want to be an educated youth again?"

"I passed the infirmary's assessment and was notified to report next Monday. I had originally kept it a secret from my family, but the news from the textile factory reached home, and they found out."

Yun Huaying's face darkened as she spoke of this. She paused before continuing, "They were already arranging jobs for Fang Xue and Fang Shuang, and when they saw I had passed the textile factory exam, they decided to sign me up for a job in the countryside without telling me."

"How could they do this?"

Lin Shan was furious on the spot, so angry that she pulled out her sleeves to hit someone, baring her teeth and cursing, "They are so wicked and shameless."

Yun Huaying had a chilling sneer on her face, as if she was used to it. On the surface, she didn't seem as angry as she said, "If they did it on the first day, don't blame me for doing it on the fifteenth."

"Hanako, what are you going to do?"

Lin Shan quickly held her back, afraid she would do something stupid, and advised, "Huaying, I know you're angry, but don't do anything stupid. We can go to the County Party Committee and the Revolutionary Committee to sue them. I don't believe that family can cover up everything with one hand."

"I won't do anything stupid."

Yun Huaying saw the worry in her eyes and patted her arm gently to comfort her.

Lin Shan was really afraid that she would do something stupid because her mother...

Thinking about the life experience and experiences of her deskmate and friend, she felt really distressed and asked again: "Huaying, what are you going to do?"

"They secretly registered for me, so naturally I can register for them as well."

When Yun Huaying said this, Lin Shan was stunned for a moment. It took her two seconds to react. Her almond-shaped eyes exploded: "Huaying, you, you..."

Yun Huaying raised the corner of her mouth slightly and handed her the two registration forms in her pocket.

Lin Shan snatched it away, and after reading the information clearly, she stared at her in amazement, then burst into laughter and jumped up and down: "Huaying, well done, your method is incredible, you'll trick these shameless bastards to death."

Yun Huaying's smile deepened. Although her grandfather and mother who loved her had passed away, and her biological father Fang Ziqiang was a complete scumbag, her classmate and friend Lin Shan was really good to her. Having such a kind and enthusiastic classmate, the original owner felt somewhat comforted over the years.

He put away the two registration forms and asked her, "Lin Shan, what about you?"

When talking about her own affairs, the smile on Lin Shan's face instantly disappeared, replaced by a bitter face: "You also know the situation of my family. My parents love me, but when it comes to choosing between their children, a son is definitely more important than a daughter."

Lin Shan also has four siblings. She has two older brothers. The eldest brother is married and works in a state-owned factory. The second brother is one year older than her. She is the third child and has a twelve-year-old younger brother.

Lin's parents are both working, and the family conditions are pretty good. They also have a quota for going to the countryside, but the eldest brother and the youngest brother are exclusive, so they have to choose between her and the second brother.

No decision has been made yet, but in fact, the thoughts of Lin's parents have been revealed, but they have not been fully expressed. Now the educated youth have left in batches one after another, and I am afraid that the final decision will be made today or tomorrow.

"My grandparents came over this morning. They had a talk with my parents at noon and didn't let me join them."

Lin Shan's face was filled with loneliness and bitterness as she spoke of this. "I'm a daughter, and I'm going to get married eventually. My grandparents have never been happy with my parents spending so much time and money arranging a job for me. Even though I have a high school diploma, they told me to find a job on my own and have been trying to get my mom to transfer the job to my second brother."

Every family has its own problems.

Yun Huaying understood that her going to the countryside was a foregone conclusion and could not be changed, so she invited her: "Why don't you come with me? Your parents still love you. You can ask them to think of a way to arrange for you and me to live together so that we can take care of each other in the future."

Lin Shan came to talk to her about this. She knew that the Lin family's place in the countryside would most likely fall on her, and she didn't want to put her parents in a difficult position, so she nodded and agreed: "Okay, I'll go find my parents now, and I'll go with you. We'll have a companion on the same journey, and even if we get to a remote village, we won't be so lonely with a companion, and we can look after each other if we encounter any problems."

"Since you've made the decision, do it right away. We'll be leaving the day after tomorrow."

Yun Huaying had no resistance to going to the countryside. Even though she knew that farm work was extremely hard, she did not flinch at all.

Lin Shan nodded and asked her, "Huaying, where are you going now?"

"I can't go back to work at the textile factory, so I can't let them get away with it. I'll go over and take care of it now."

Yun Huaying knew that jobs in state-owned factories were very popular nowadays. Many people wanted them, and many people would pay high prices for them. She wanted to get the job today and exchange it for cash directly, so that she wouldn't have to worry when she returned to the countryside in the future with money and savings.

"Huaying, the job you passed the exam for is a good one, but it's also very special. Not everyone can do it."

Lin Shan had actually just thought about buying her job, but she and her second brother didn't know anything about medicine, having never studied it before. They couldn't even do a simple blood test with a needle, so the idea only flashed through her mind before she brushed it off. She then said, "Huaying, I know someone who's suitable. They're looking for a nursing position."

Since she had an introduction, Yun Huaying didn't have to waste time looking for someone. "Lin Shan, where is she?"

"I don't know her address, but I know her aunt."

Lin Shan pulled her along and said, "Come on, her aunt works at the supply and marketing cooperative, that's Accountant Yu. I'll take you to find her."
