After leaving Director Wei's house, Zhong Wanwan and her two siblings went home.
Upon entering the room, Zhong Wanwan, Zhong Songbai, and Zhong Baiyang set up the folding bed and laid out the bedding they had brought.
Originally, Zhong Wanwan wanted to live in a room by herself, so that it would be convenient for her to go into her space to sleep.
However, Zhong Songbai and Zhong Baiyang refused to agree no matter what. The courtyard wall hadn't been repaired yet, and it would be too unsafe for Zhong Wanwan to be alone if someone got in!
Left with no other choice, Zhong Wanwan had to accept their kindness and live next to them.
Even so, Zhong Songbai was still not at ease, so he made Zhong Wanwan sleep on the innermost bed, which was right next to the wall, while he slept on the outermost bed, and Zhong Baiyang slept in the middle.
The three siblings were exhausted after traveling for several days, so they went to bed after washing up.
I thought I could fall asleep as soon as I closed my eyes, but I don't know if it's because I'm not used to sleeping in the same bed or what, but of the three siblings, only the youngest, Zhong Baiyang, fell asleep. Zhong Wanwan and Zhong Songbai were not asleep.
Zhong Songbai asked Zhong Wanwan in a low voice:
"Sis, we're finally settled in. What are your plans now?"
Zhong Wanwan thought for a moment and said:
"Since we're here, let's make the best of it and get established first before worrying about anything else!"
Zhong Songbai said with some concern:
"Sis, is it easy to learn to drive a tractor? I've never driven a tractor before!"
Zhong Wanwan rolled her eyes and said:
"So that's why you weren't asleep!"
"I think the principle is quite simple. I need to inspect the tractors parked in the yard later, and I'll teach you how to drive one of them!"
Zhong Songbai was surprised that Zhong Wanwan could repair tractors, but thinking about the books on automobile manufacturing left by his father, he could only admire Zhong Wanwan's talent.
He had read those books, but he only half-understood many of the theories. Let alone practice, he couldn't even think of anything about practice today!
But none of the siblings had ever learned to drive a tractor before, Zhong Songbai asked in surprise:
"Sis, you can drive a tractor?"
Zhong Wanwan explained:

Zhong Wanwan wasn't lying to Zhong Songbai about this; she really could drive, including motorcycles, sports cars, sedans, and SUVs—she drove them all exceptionally well.
However, she had never driven the oldest hand-held tractor!
Of course, with her skills, driving a tractor is no problem at all!
But Zhong Songbai didn't know that, and he was very worried:
"Will that work? Maybe I should just go back to the fields and earn work points. If the tractor breaks down, all the good image you've built up will be ruined!"
"Actually, working in the fields wasn't that tiring. I'm a grown man, it's no problem!"
What do you mean working in the fields isn't that tiring? This is a farm! Although the living conditions are better than in the production team, the farm work is much more tiring!
Zhong Songbai was clearly afraid that if he messed up the car, it would implicate them, so he deliberately tried to comfort Zhong Wanwan with his words.
Zhong Wanwan knew his concerns and encouraged him:
"What are you thinking? Repairing a tractor is much harder than driving one."
"I've never repaired anything before and I dared to try it out, how could you, a young man, be stumped by driving a tractor?"
"Go ahead and drive, feel free to drive. If you break it, I'll fix it. No one else needs to know, we can handle it ourselves!"
Zhong Songbai wasn't the type to be afraid of anything; his hesitation stemmed mainly from concerns about Zhong Wanwan and Zhong Baiyang.
Thinking of the scene where he broke down and Zhong Wanwan secretly fixed it, Zhong Songbai smiled silently, feeling much more relaxed. He nodded and said:
"Okay, then you start the maintenance tomorrow, and I'll try to drive it. Anyway, there are still a few days until the autumn harvest, and I don't believe I can't learn it!"
