If she hadn't hidden it, no one might have noticed. After all, her clothes were dark-colored, and she was all dirty, so who would look inside her sleeves?

The mother pouted and said:

When Bai Yueyao heard her say that about herself, she rushed over to cover her mouth.
The mother wasn't afraid of Bai Yueyao, this urban educated youth. She slapped Bai Yueyao's hand away, grabbed Bai Yueyao's hair, and slapped her twice.

Zhong Wanwan watched the commotion from the sidelines, offering advice to the child's mother:
"Sister-in-law Zhou, look at Bai Zhiqing's sleeves. She must have been hiding something by tucking her arms in just now!"
Hearing this, Bai Yueyao was terrified. Forgetting about resisting Sister Zhou, she tightened her grip on her arm even more!
Zhou's wife, a rural woman who had been doing farm work all year round, was no match for Bai Yueyao. She grabbed Bai Yueyao by the collar and pulled her arm away.
The diesel stains on the inside of Bai Yueyao's sleeve were clearly visible. Aunt Zhou tugged at her sleeve, showing them to everyone as she spoke:
"Now what excuse does she have? She still dares to say she didn't steal the tractor? If she didn't steal the tractor, why does she have diesel stains on her arm?"

When Bai Yueyao saw that the diesel stains had been seen, she was filled with regret. If she had known it would turn out like this, she definitely wouldn't have secretly driven the tractor in the middle of the night!
