Chapter 3: Space Appears, Family Property Should Not Be Allowed to Outsiders (2/2)

With time running out and the task at hand, Zhong Wanwan quickly ran to the toilet, found the switch on the roof beam, and entered the Zhong family's secret room.

The Zhong family's secret room was as big as three rooms. One room contained various jewelry, antique paintings and calligraphy, as well as several boxes of large yellow croakers.

The remaining two rooms contained a complete set of exquisitely carved furniture, as well as several large boxes of clothes and fabrics.

With a wave of her hand, Zhong Wanwan put everything into her spatial storage.

Then Zhong Wanwan brought in all the furniture and everything else in the house.

Not to mention the leftover quilts from her siblings, Zhong Wanwan even stored away two cabbages and four potatoes from the kitchen that were difficult to take with her.

Looking at the house, which was completely empty and looked like it had been ransacked, Zhong Wanwan nodded in satisfaction. Now it was no use for anyone else to covet it!

After packing her things, Zhong Wanwan quietly closed the Zhong family gate and went to meet up with Zhong Songbai and Zhong Baiyang!

Zhong Wanwan rushed to the alley entrance and heard Zhong Baiyang complaining:

"Big sister, why are you taking so long to go to the bathroom? It's been more than half an hour! If you don't come back soon, my brother and I are going to go back and look for you!"

Zhong Wanwan couldn't tell the real reason, but she gave Zhong Baiyang a deep look and thought to herself: Kid, you should thank your sister. If your sister hadn't gone back to collect the things, you might not have gotten a penny when you came back!

Zhong Songbai didn't say anything, but looked at Zhong Wanwan with a puzzled expression, feeling that his sister was acting strangely.

However, in a hurry to get going, Zhong Songbai didn't ask any more questions. He just picked up his luggage and gestured for Zhong Wanwan and Zhong Baiyang to follow.

Fortunately, the train station wasn't far from the Zhong family's house, and the three of them walked very quickly along the way. Except for leaving an anonymous letter in every few mailboxes, Zhong Songbai didn't stop at all.

After walking for more than an hour, we finally arrived at the train station before 4 o'clock.

The three of them didn't dare to linger. When they arrived at the train station, they bought tickets for the earliest train to Beijing.

In this day and age, there is no direct train from Jincheng to Harbin; you can only go to Beijing or Tianjin by transferring.

Since the train to Beijing departs at 6 a.m., the three of them immediately decided to go to Beijing.

After wandering around for ten hours, the three finally arrived in Beijing.

The three of them didn't relax even after arriving in Beijing. They found out that there were train tickets available from Beijing to Harbin that evening, but they were all sold out.

Zhong Wanwan went directly to a scalper and bought three hard-seat tickets for an extra 3 yuan each.

At 6:30 p.m., the three of them finally boarded the train to Harbin. Zhong Wanwan and Zhong Songbai both breathed a sigh of relief.

After boarding the train and putting her luggage on the luggage rack, Zhong Wanwan lay down on the table and fell asleep.

Zhong Wanwan slept soundly until the train conductor checked her ticket and woke her up.

Zhong Wanwan was sitting in a two-seater by the window, opposite Zhong Baiyang. Zhong Songbai was in the same row as Zhong Baiyang, but not next to him. Zhong Songbai was in another window seat.

Next to her was a young woman with light tan skin, slightly raised eyebrows, and well-defined features. She exuded a cheerful and spirited aura.

The girl next to Zhong Baiyang had a square face, rough skin, sat ramrod straight, and had her brows furrowed, looking serious beyond her years.

Beside the aisle stood a young couple. The man had delicate features and a slight upturn at the corners of his mouth, giving him a gentle and approachable appearance.

The woman had fair skin, big eyes, a small mouth, and thin lips. She was dressed in a quiet and well-behaved manner, but Zhong Wanwan found it all rather incongruous.

On the other side was a family of three generations. From the moment Zhong Wanwan woke up, she could hear the old lady grumbling incessantly: "Train tickets are so expensive. Her precious grandson is still so young. Why should her precious grandson have to buy the ticket?"

Zhong Wanwan felt that this scene was familiar, as if she had seen it somewhere before, but she just couldn't remember where.

It wasn't until the girl next to her took out a paper bag of fragrant sesame seed cakes with meat filling, and the child opposite her insisted on eating them.

Zhong Wanwan suddenly realized that this was exactly the same as a novel she had read before she transmigrated here, titled "The Daily Life of a Lucky Koi Girl in the 1970s"!
