Chapter 87 What's going on? (2/2)

"The knowledge, experience, and perspective of you three siblings are beyond what an ordinary working-class family could cultivate!"

"I've always been puzzled by this, but now that you've said you were hiding your identity from me, I feel like I understand immediately!"

"If I'm not mistaken, your ancestors must have been no ordinary family!"

Zhong Wanwan patted Xia Ning on the shoulder and said, pretending to be fierce:

"You know too much. Tell me, what kind of way do you want to be silenced?"

Because Zhong Wanwan honestly told Xia Ning her secret, their friendship deepened!

However, considering that Zhong Wanwan trusts people so easily, Xia Ning still reminded her:

"You told me this, and I will never tell anyone else!"

"But you can't say anything about anyone else, including your two apprentices and their families!"

"It's not that I don't trust their character, but with so many people around, it's easy for something to slip up and you could be in danger!"

With her poor judgment, how dare she worry about others!

Zhong Wanwan showed Xia Ning no mercy whatsoever, saying:

"You should think about how you got involved with those two scoundrels. You absolutely cannot let them find out about what you did!"

"Otherwise, not only might you be reported, but everyone else in the cowshed will be in danger!"

Xia Ning said with a dark face:

"You can't be so mean to me! All I did was go blind once, why can't you let that go?"

"My eyesight is much better now, they're crystal clear, can we please stop talking about those two?"

Zhong Wanwan shook her finger and said:

"I call this a constant warning. To prevent your eyes from being blinded by poop again, I need to make sure you always remember the faces of these two people!"

Xia Ning sighed, wondering if she had made a bad choice in making friends. How could she have befriended someone with such a sharp tongue!

Most importantly, she couldn't win an argument with Zhong Wanwan!

After exchanging a few playful insults, the two started discussing serious matters!

Zhong Wanwan was not going to take Xiaobaiyang to the cowshed rashly, after all, she didn't know Grandpa Wu's attitude.

If the other party is unwilling, it would be too abrupt to just show up!

Bring over Xiaobaiyang's drawing notes and let Grandpa Wu take a look. If he's willing to give some pointers, then it won't be too late for Xiaobaiyang to come and give a formal visit.

Xia Ning felt that Zhong Wanwan's consideration was correct; this matter should not only take Grandpa Wu into account.

Xia Ning meant that she should also inform Xiao Baiyang about the dangers, and if he was willing, it wouldn't be too late to talk to him about his studies.

The two of them continued talking until it got dark outside.

For safety's sake, it's better to wait until dark and when no one is walking on the road before going to the cowshed.

And so, once it was completely dark, Xia Ning and Zhong Wanwan went out!

Upon arriving at the cowshed, Xia Ning first took a few books into the house, preparing to give Grandpa Wu a "surprise"!

Through the dim light of the oil lamp, Grandpa Wu saw Xia Ning enter the house carrying a thick stack of books.

Grandpa Wu thought Xia Ning felt it was dangerous, so he returned the book!

Although somewhat disappointed, it's human nature to seek advantage and avoid harm, so Grandpa Wu didn't blame Xia Ning. He understood:

"Xiao Ning, it's alright. Let's leave the books with Grandpa Wu. These three books are too big and thick to hide easily. Grandpa Wu understands!"

Xia Ning didn't explain anything, but instead took out Zhong Wanwan's other two books!

Grandpa Wu stared wide-eyed at the three identical books, utterly bewildered.

"What, what, what's going on?"
