Chapter 246 The Toilet Incident

Although Zhong Wanwan really didn't want to talk to Pi Dani, she still greeted her warmly for the sake of the conversation:

"Da Ni, you're eighteen years old. How old are you this year?"

Pi Dani said with ill intent:

"18 years old! An 18-year-old girl is like a flower, so lovely!"

Upon hearing this, Zhong Wanwan's fists hardened. If it weren't for the greater good, she would have already slapped Pi Dani across the face.

Pi San Niang also sensed Pi Dani's ill will. She glared at Pi Dani and thought, "That brat! She scratches people's faces when she sees someone pretty. She's so jealous."

"She's already starting to act sarcastic and sarcastic. She's really giving her a hard time," Pi Sanniang warned.

"Dani, have a good chat with your sister Wanwan. Don't make her angry!"

Pi Dani shuddered, lowered her head obediently, and said no more.

Zhong Wanwan took the initiative to say:

"Da Ni, let me help you take care of Xiao Ni. How old is Xiao Ni? Has she been missing for a month?"

Without much thought, Pi Dani casually replied:

"It's not even a month yet! This little girl is only 12 days old, the umbilical cord hasn't even fallen off yet!"

Zhong Wanwan frowned. She had only looked at the key parts and knew it was a girl, but she hadn't paid attention to the umbilical cord.

Zhong Wanwan asked again:

"It must be tough for you and your grandchild to travel with such a small child. Where's the baby formula? Let me make some for you!"

Pi Dani sneered:

"Baby formula? She doesn't need it. Don't worry about it. I'll make her some cereal when she wakes up."

Actually, there was no such thing as "mucus." Before the child came out, Pi San Niang gave her enough sleeping pills, enough for her to sleep for two days. Otherwise, they wouldn't have had the patience for this little girl to keep crying.

This is only because she is Changli’s own daughter; otherwise, they wouldn’t have gone to all this trouble to send her to a foster family. It would have been much easier to just throw her into the mountains to feed the wolves!

Although she suspected that the child was also a descendant of kidnappers, Pi Dani's words still made Zhong Wanwan very uncomfortable.

Zhong Wanwan sighed and didn't continue the topic. Instead, she inquired about Pi Dani:

"Da Ni, where are you from? Judging from your words, you don't seem to be from Heilongjiang Province!"

Pi Dani didn't think much of it. Mainly, Pi Dani had always followed Pi San Niang in deceiving pretty girls, and she always thought that pretty girls could be deceived because they were brainless. Therefore, she looked down on Zhong Wanwan and was not wary of her.

Pi Dani answered casually:

"Yes, my grandma and I are from Jincheng."

Jincheng? Zhong Wanwan knows Jincheng very well; she's from Jincheng!

Zhong Wanwan had a sudden thought and asked Pi Dani:

"Jincheng, that's a great place. There's a Li's Vinegar Shop there, a long-established brand. I've heard their vinegar is especially delicious, did you know that?"

People in Jincheng love vinegar, and many streets have their own vinegar workshops, each with its own unique flavor.

Most families prefer and are most accustomed to the vinegar from the workshops near their homes.

Zhong Wanwan asked this question in order to find out the approximate location of Pi Dani's hometown.

Pi Dani said with disdain:

"What time-honored brand? There are tons of time-honored vinegar shops in Jincheng. Who knows about Li's or Liu's?"

"If we're talking about delicious vinegar, Dawangzhuang vinegar is definitely the best. No other brand can compare."

Although we don't know where Dawangzhuang is, we can basically conclude that Pi Dani's hometown is not far from here.

Zhong Wanwan continued to probe:

"Da Ni, why are you the only one out with your grandma and your sister? Where are your parents? Why aren't they with you?"

Pi Dani's eyes flashed with hatred as she gritted her teeth and said:

"Isn't it all because of those damned cops, uh, bad guys, that they can't let my parents go out with us?"

If her parents hadn't been arrested, how could she and her grandmother have possibly acted with that idiot Chang Li?

If it weren't for that idiot Changli, they wouldn't have had to send a little girl all the way here.

Fortunately, her parents will be out soon, and then the whole family will travel together.

Zhong Wanwan noticed Pi Dani's interruption. "Police? Police? So two members of this family have been arrested? This is an important clue!"

Zhong Wanwan leaned close to Qiu Zean's ear and whispered:

"Can you find a way to let people outside know that Da Ni's parents have probably been arrested?"

"Da Ni's hometown should be near Dawangzhuang in Jincheng. People from Jincheng only love the vinegar from their own neighborhood!"

Qiu Zean had been paying attention to Zhong Wanwan's movements, so he naturally heard these words.

The more Qiu Zean got to know Zhong Wanwan, the less he could control his heart. He had never met a girl smarter than Zhong Wanwan.

Qiu Zean nodded and whispered:

"I understand, I'll figure something out. You did a great job. Keep trying to get information out of me."

Zhong Wanwan continued to approach Pi Dani to try and get information out of her. Pi Dani was not on guard, and Zhong Wanwan's questions were rather subtle, so Zhong Wanwan got almost everything she wanted to know.

The train had now left Heilongjiang Province, and Pi Sanniang felt it was time to take action. She stood up, holding her teacup, and said:

"Big sister, we've been talking for so long, are you thirsty? I'll go get some water, and I'll get you some on the way too!"

"Old Mrs. Song" and "Old Mr. Qiu" exchanged a glance and said:

"Young lady, aren't you thirsty? Don't go, let my old man go."

Old Mrs. Song pretended to scold Old Mr. Qiu, saying:

"That old bastard, he has no sense at all! Didn't he see that my sister and I were thirsty?"

Old Master Qiu grumbled as he got up and went to get Pi San Niang's teacup.

Pi San Niang instinctively flinched, but still wouldn't give up, she said:

"Big sister, I'm tired of sitting. I'll go out and stretch my legs. Let me go!"

Without saying a word, "Old Lady Song" snatched the teacup and said:

"The train is crowded. If we run into a young lady again, let this old man go. If you get tired of sitting, I'll accompany you for a walk when we get off at the next stop."

Pi San Niang was too hasty. Song Chunwei and Qiu Ze'an hadn't informed their people yet, fearing something might go wrong, so she blocked the matter.

Song Chunwei handed the teacup to Qiu Zean, implying something:

"Hurry up, or do you want me to die of thirst?!"

"He only moves when provoked, like a donkey pulling a millstone, never taking the initiative!"

"Wanwan, you're with your grandpa. He's so clumsy and slow; you might burn yourself!"

"You can't do anything all day, and I don't have to worry about you when you go out..."

Song Chunwei cursed and swore, sending Zhong Wanwan and Qiu Zean to fetch water.

When Pi San Niang heard that Zhong Wanwan was to go, she hurriedly tightened her grip on Song Chunwei's hand.
