Chapter 6 The Vicious Wife (1/2)

In the kitchen, Bai Jiaojiao was looking at a pile of ingredients with worry.

When she was 21 years old, her family was not rich, but they were well-off. Her father was very good to her. Bai Jiaojiao had never entered the kitchen, except to wash some fruit.

Not to mention the original, before her identity as a fake daughter was exposed, she didn't even know what the kitchen looked like in the military compound.

After marrying Xiaozhou, it was almost always Xiaozhou who cooked, or she would eat at the home of her neighbor Aunt Wang.

Aunt Wang was reluctant at first, but Bai Jiaojiao was willing to give money. After Xiaozhou knew about it, he also gave her money, so Aunt Wang had no objection.

Bai Jiaojiao looked at the stove that she had never seen before and didn't know where to start.

'Crunch.'

The door was pushed open and Bai Jiaojiao froze immediately. The space was very small and the man walked a few steps into the kitchen.

Looking at the unscathed ingredients, Xiaozhou said, "You go out first."

Bai Jiaojiao shook her head: "I, I'll learn it."

"As a grown lady, can you learn it?" he said.

Bai Jiaojiao's body stiffened. She looked at the man's gentle and smart face. The man, whose smile did not reach his eyes, felt unprecedented pressure.

"Have you recovered your memory?"

Xiao Zhou shook his head: "No, I just heard something about you from the village."

Bai Jiaojiao didn't feel anything: "Oh, that's all in the past. If you're curious, I can tell you slowly." She would remember it sooner or later anyway.

The man walked in. Maybe because he had fewer cold faces during the day, Bai Jiaojiao was not afraid of him. However, she didn't expect that after he approached her, he would hug her directly. Bai Jiaojiao's body suddenly stiffened.

Xiaozhou bent down slightly, sniffed the fragrance of the woman's hair, and unconsciously hugged her tighter. After feeling that she was uncomfortable, he slowed down slightly, but still didn't want to let go.

His voice became a little hoarse: “Following me will make you suffer.

They said you came from a military compound, had never cooked, and didn’t know how to do anything.”

Bai Jiaojiao's attention was immediately diverted. Although she felt that what Xiao Zhou said was correct, would the villagers only say this?

"That's all they said?"

She remembered that Yuan Yu had done a lot of bad things. She went from being a young lady to being an ordinary person, with no money and no power. Most people couldn't stand it, let alone Yuan Yu who had been spoiled since childhood.

"Well, that's roughly what it means." Seeing the place that Bai Jiaojiao couldn't see, Xiaozhou's eyes turned cold. He would not believe any of those who said bad things about Jiaojiao, and he remembered them all.

Not long ago, there was only Aunt Wang outside, but soon several more people came, both men and women.

"Xiao Xiao, your wife is not easy to deal with. She scolded a group of us on the first day she came here, saying that she was from the military compound and called us country bumpkins who were not worthy of talking to her."

"She once stole the new shoes my daughter had asked a friend to bring from abroad, and in the end you came forward to apologize and compensate us."

"She also likes to eat meat, but she doesn't cook it herself. Previously, my family killed a chicken to celebrate my son's rare job at the factory. She shamelessly asked for a free meal, and when we refused to give her any, she even smashed the pot."

Everyone nodded in agreement, and from then on they dared not open the windows when cooking meat or vegetables.

They have never seen such a bad-tempered and vicious woman, and now she is even instigating Xiaozhou, who doesn't remember anything, to do bad things. They can't tolerate it!

Xiaozhou politely invited them to come in and open the door, just like before, and the villagers began to feel relieved.

As long as Xiaozhou knew what that vicious woman was like, at least he would not help her to embarrass everyone.

Xiao Zhou looked down at the petite and weak woman in his arms and slowly let go: "You can go out now."

Bai Jiaojiao still wanted to struggle: "No, I'd better learn it..."

Before she finished her words, her cheeks suddenly felt hot and her eyes widened in shock.

The man had moved away a little, but only a little. The touch of his lips was softer and sweeter than he had imagined.
