Grandma Lin suddenly threw away the fake flowers in her hand and ran outside.
"Photographs, my photographs."
The photo shows her daughter.
"Grandma, Grandma."
Lin Qingyan and Lin Zhiheng quickly chased after her, but Granny Lin, who was skilled in martial arts, disappeared without a trace shortly after leaving the house.
Seeing that the three of them had all run away, the photographer anxiously shouted, "Don't all run away! What will happen to the photos?"
He was afraid that if those three didn't come back, his foundation would be wasted.
"My little girl, my little girl, where are you?"
She ran while tears streamed down her face.
But she couldn't find her daughter anywhere.
Lin Qingyan and Lin Zhiheng walked through three or four streets before they realized she was wandering aimlessly. They quickly went over to her, and Lin Qingyan asked, "Grandma, did you think of the photos again?"
Hopefully, my mother-in-law will be able to provide some useful information this time.
But Grandma Lin looked at her blankly: "Photos? What photos? You're looking for photos again? Okay, Grandma will help you find them."
Lin Qingyan was a little disappointed: "Mother-in-law, I didn't find any photos. Let's go back quickly, otherwise the photographer will think we took the photos and are going to run away again."
After they returned to the photo studio, Lin Qingyan paid the photographer and, as usual, got a receipt. She was to come back in seven days to pick up the developed photos.
Lin Qingyan had been observing Grandma Lin, and thankfully, Grandma Lin seemed to be in a stable mood, which made Lin Qingyan breathe a sigh of relief.
"Let's go to the supply and marketing cooperative to buy some things."
"good."
The three of them arrived at the supply and marketing cooperative together. Lin Qingyan first asked Grandma Lin and Lin Zhiheng, "What would you like to eat?"
Grandma Lin was not polite or picky: "I'm fine with whatever I eat, girl, whatever you let me eat, I'll eat."
"My mother-in-law is so easy to take care of." Lin Qingyan smiled.
Lin Zhiheng also said, "I'm open to anything too."
Lin Qingyan bought biscuits and sponge cake, two jars of fruit, two pounds of dried kelp, a piece of firm tofu, and three pounds of potatoes.
She thought about treating Lu Zhengting to a meal, and it wouldn't be good without meat, but she was short of meat coupons. She had heard that people loved eating meat at this time and didn't like ribs. It seemed that pork ribs didn't require meat coupons, so she went to the pork counter and asked the saleswoman, "Ma'am, do I not need coupons to buy ribs?"
"Yes, no ticket required, four cents a pound, how much do you want?"
Lin Qingyan sighed, "Every era has its advantages."
At least at this time, buying ribs is cheaper than buying meat and you don't need coupons. "Give me five jin."
"Okay, I'll cut it up and weigh it for you."
Next, Lin Qingyan saw the pig offal next to her. There wasn't much meat left there; what was left were just scraps. Presumably, people had lined up early in the morning to buy all the better cuts, leaving these unpopular parts behind.
She asked the older woman, "How much does this pig offal cost per pound?"
"The same price as pork ribs."
"Give me one."
With these, not only would Lu Zhengting have food to eat, but they could also keep the extra for themselves.
"A set?" The older woman was somewhat surprised. "This set is quite a lot."
"I don't mind having too much," Lin Qingyan said with a smile.
"Okay, if you want it, I'll weigh it and pack it for you."
"OK."
After buying these items, Lin Qingyan saw that there were also candied hawthorns, so she bought three skewers, one for each of the three of them.
Grandma Lin ate happily, and although Lin Zhiheng didn't show the same excitement as Grandma Lin, Lin Qingyan could still see the happiness on his face.
When they got home, it was not yet eleven o'clock, unaware that Lu Zhengting had already come by with pheasants and rabbits.
Lin Qingyan took out her key from her pocket and opened the door. She saw a dead pheasant and a dead wild rabbit lying behind the door. She was slightly surprised at first, but then she immediately thought that Lu Zhengting and Li Qinqin might have been there.
Grandma Lin picked up the pheasant and the wild rabbit, frowning: "Hey, a dead pheasant flew into our house, and a dead wild rabbit ran in too."
Lin Qingyan said, "Grandma, this might have been placed here by someone."
She guessed that Lu Zhengting would arrive soon.
"Grandma, let's boil some water first, and we also need to process the pig offal we bought."
The pig offal looked clean, but since pig intestines and stomachs are places where dirt and filth accumulate, they still needed to be processed a second time to prevent any remaining filth from accumulating inside.
Pig lungs, in particular, must be washed repeatedly to remove as much dirt as possible.
"Sis, I'll go boil some water."
Lin Zhiheng went to the kitchen to boil water. Grandma Lin squatted in front of the pile of pig offal and suddenly pinched her nose.
"Girl, it stinks!"
"Grandma, it won't smell bad after it's washed, and it'll be so delicious after it's cooked that it'll make your tongue tingle."
Not long after, someone came to the door. It was Lu Zhengting and Li Qinqin.
Li Qinqin was also carrying a bag in her hand.
"You're back." Lu Zhengting's gaze first fell on Lin Qingyan.
"I just got back not long ago." Lin Qingyan asked him, "Did you throw that pheasant and rabbit in here?"
"Oh, none of you were home when I arrived, so I just threw it in first."
"I told you I was treating you to dinner, and you brought me gifts too."
"You don't need to be embarrassed. My cousin and I went up the mountain to get a taxi this morning. It's not anything valuable."
Li Qinqin handed the bag in her hand to Lin Qingyan: "Sister Qingyan, these are wild mushrooms that our family picked in the summer. They're delicious in stews."
"Thanks."
Lin Qingyan took the bag, took out some of the meat, soaked it in water, and planned to put it in the stew later.
