Xu Xinning wanted to get a better look at the jade pendant that had fallen out of Lin Sisi's collar, but Lin Sisi immediately put the jade pendant back into her clothes.
Xu Xinning breathed a sigh of relief. Her expression remained unchanged as she helped Lin Sisi up, but her eyes unconsciously glanced at Lin Sisi's neck twice.
Lin Sisi stood up straight. "Thank you, Dr. Xu."
Be careful.
"I understand, Dr. Xu, I'm leaving now."
After Lin Sisi left, Xu Xinning was the only one left in the office.
She sat at her desk, racking her brains to recall the appearance of the jade pendant: it was milky white, had two wings that seemed ready to take flight, and a long, flowing tail.
She figured it out; the jade pendant looked a lot like a phoenix.
But where exactly did I see that jade pendant?
She thought hard for a while, but still couldn't figure it out, when a nurse ran in.
"Dr. Xu, Dr. Xu, a pregnant woman has arrived. She's about to give birth. Could you go to the delivery room and examine her?"
"Okay, I understand."
She had just stood up when she heard shouts coming from outside the office.
"Dr. Lin, Dr. Lin, where is Comrade Lu's wife? Hurry up and let her deliver my daughter-in-law's baby."
Xu Xinning was stunned when she heard this.
Who is this Dr. Lin that the woman outside is calling for?
She could only think of Lin Qingyan, but Lin Qingyan was a pediatrician, not an obstetrician.
Could it be that there was once a doctor surnamed Lin in the obstetrics and gynecology department here?
Before she could figure it out, an old lady rushed in.
"Dr. Lin, Dr. Lin, please go and check on my daughter-in-law, she's about to give birth."

The old lady paused and thought for a moment, but it seemed she hadn't listened to what she was saying.
“I heard from others that Xiao Lu’s wife came to the hospital to work as a doctor. She’s doing a really good job delivering babies in the family compound. I thought she was working in the obstetrics and gynecology department, but I didn’t expect her to be here. So where is she?”
"I have no idea."
The more the old lady acted this way, the angrier Xu Xinning became.

"Auntie, I'm also very good at delivering babies. Dr. Lin isn't in this department; even if you find her, she won't take responsibility."

The old lady came in too. "Daughter-in-law, if I can't find Dr. Lin, then let's use this doctor."
The pregnant woman was suffering from contractions and pain. Since she couldn't find Lin Qingyan and didn't want to wait any longer, she could only use Xu Xinning for the time being.
"Let me examine you first."
Xu Xinning listened to the fetal heartbeat and the pregnant woman's heart rate with a stethoscope, and also measured the pregnant woman's blood pressure. All of the pregnant woman's physical indicators were normal, but she could feel that the baby in the pregnant woman's belly was breech.
She tried massaging the pregnant woman's belly and turning the fetus, which made the pregnant woman scream in pain.
"Dr. Lin, I need Dr. Lin. Hurry up and let Dr. Lin deliver my baby, I don't want you as my doctor."
Xu Xinning was once again devastated, and even started to dislike the pregnant woman.

Because she was angry, she increased the pressure on her hands, which made the pregnant woman feel even more pain and she screamed at her.
