Lin Qingyan opened the door and went inside first, followed by Old Madam Lu and Shen Mengya.
“Zhengting’s wife, we don’t want to cause trouble, nor do we intend to. Please don’t misunderstand us.” Grandma Lu said, “Grandma knows that I have wronged you two in the past. I apologize to you. After all, we are family. Please don’t keep it to yourself.”
Shen Mengya quickly said, "Sister-in-law, I was ignorant in the past and did things that hurt you and Brother Zhengting. I know I was wrong. Please give me a chance to make amends. From now on, we are sisters-in-law. Please don't hold it against me. Forgive me and let's make up."
Grandma Lu placed the things they had brought from Beijing on the table.
“Zhengting’s wife, look, this is what Mengya and I bought for you at the department store. Grandma can really accept you now, you can believe me.”

Shen Mengya was stunned for a moment, wondering if Lin Qingyan had become a mind reader, knowing everything she was thinking and planning.
They even forced her to make a poisonous oath.
But compared to getting Lu Zhengting, what does making a poisonous oath matter?
She gritted her teeth and agreed, "Okay, I swear. I, Shen Mengya, will never have any improper thoughts towards Third Brother again, nor will I break them up. If I break this promise, may I be struck by lightning and die a horrible death."
