Chapter Ninety-Five: I Don't Like to Cry
Shen Yuzhu was terribly shocked. She turned around and entered the space, groping her way in the general direction. She walked over there, used her mind to find a baton, and after thinking for a moment, she found a knife.
Run a few steps forward, then peek out from the space to see what's happening outside.
The person being dragged away was Liang Manxiu, and she was extremely flustered.
Because Liang Manxiu is currently either unconscious or has encountered some kind of accident.
She looked around and it seemed that there was no one else present except for this person, but she dared not go out rashly. If someone was lurking around, she would be finished.
Left with no other choice, she called out to Xiaogua, but the creature ignored her several times. It only appeared when her anger had reached its peak.
Little Melon: Master, how can I help you?
Shen Yuzhu: Help me find out if there are any bad guys around.
Xiao Gua: Fifty yuan, only fifty yuan.
Shen Yuzhu: .....Shameless! Confirm purchase.
A minute later, Xiao Gua investigated and found that there were indeed people nearby, but no danger. Shen Yuzhu thought for a moment and concluded that they were probably accomplices of this bad guy.
The two groups are not together for some reason, which means that only one person has kidnapped Liang Manxiu.
Shen Yuzhu breathed a sigh of relief, turned around and entered the space. After getting close, she suddenly came out of the space. She appeared silently, and the people who kidnapped Liang Manxiu did not notice her at all.
Just as he was dragging Liang Manxiu, intending to throw her into the ditch, Shen Yuzhu suddenly pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the lower back. She was weak and wanted to finish him off after injuring him.
Unfortunately, the man was alert and nearly knocked Shen Yuzhu down with a turn.
With a thought, she suddenly entered the space and quickly found a net gun. Once this thing was fired, the pocket inside the gun could immediately cover the person, and no matter how strong they were, they could not break free.
The man was stabbed and turned around to draw his weapon, only to find no one behind him. He was terrified and looked around again and again, but there was still no one there. He quickly ran into the woods, pursing his lips tightly, afraid that he would scream.
Just as they were approaching the woods, a huge net suddenly fell from the sky and covered their bodies, pulling them backward by about ten meters.
He tried to struggle, but was slapped hard on the back of the head and immediately passed out.
Shen Yuzhu raised the brick in her hand and slammed it down on the person who had already fallen.
Fortunately, the first servant fainted, so the subsequent blows were to the forehead and shoulders; otherwise, the head would have been turned into mincemeat by now.
Shen Yuzhu opened her mouth and took a few deep breaths. She quickly removed the net and used the scarf around her neck to drag the person up to the tree and wrap them up.
Only then did he dare to go to Liang Manxiu. This time, instead of going to Xiaogua, he clicked on the blue panel and spent a thousand yuan to buy a bottle of spiritual spring water, which he then poured directly into her mouth.
Before she even woke up, she heard a soft footstep.
She trembled with fright and turned around to see Zhou Congsheng running anxiously towards her.
"Zhuzhu, how are you?"
"I, I'm fine. Quickly tie that person up. I don't know how Manxiu is doing. I have to save her."
Just by listening to Shen Yuzhu's trembling voice, one could guess how terrifying she had just gone through. Zhou Congsheng felt extremely sorry for her and should have accompanied her to the educated youth settlement.
"Don't just stand there, get that person away quickly, I'm scared."
"Okay, okay, I'll get rid of this person and come find you soon."
Zhou Congsheng stared at her for a moment, then turned around and dragged away the person who had been beaten unconscious. Not long after, Feng Zhengyang arrived with several male educated youths, including Qiao Wangshu. She saw that Liang Manxiu was still unconscious and Shen Yuzhu was sitting on the ground in a disheveled state, and she felt extremely distressed.
"Don't cry, let's go quickly, we can't make this public."
Qiao Wangshu bit her lip tightly, and Feng Zhengyang and the others also pursed their lips tightly. Zhou Congsheng had already told them when they came, although he didn't say what it was about.
Judging from Zhou Congsheng's expression, this matter was very serious.
The male educated youths were both afraid and excited, and they roughly understood that this was an opportunity to make a contribution.
When Liang Manxiu woke up, she felt a sharp pain in the back of her neck, and she was disoriented for a moment after opening her eyes.
Then she suddenly sat up, and before Qiao Wangshu could even speak her concerned words, she suddenly grabbed her hand.
"Quick, Wangshu, find Comrade Zhou! I've spotted a spy! He's muttering something I can't understand, like he's looking for some secret. Hurry up!"
"Don't worry, don't worry. That person dragged you to the grove behind the educated youth settlement, and Yuzhu happened to see it. You don't know how fierce this woman is. Without calling for help, she pounced on him. She fought with him with a knife and a brick, and that's how she saved you."
Liang Manxiu's tears streamed down her face.
This was the second time Shen Yuzhu had saved her. For her sake, she had risked her life against a man all by herself. Yuzhu truly cared about her as a friend.
She could die in peace having such a friend in her life.
"Don't cry. If I told you that you drank two big bowls of soup made from old ginseng of Yuzhu, you would have cried even more tears!"
"What? Old Ginseng, that stuff is so precious! How can you give me this to drink? Heavens, why didn't you stop me?"
No sooner had he finished speaking than Shen Yuzhu came in carrying a bowl.
As soon as Liang Manyu looked at her, the tears she had just stopped started falling again.
"Why are you crying again? You're crying even more than Liping now."
Wang Liping was a bit sentimental due to hormonal changes during pregnancy, and their comments about Liang Manxiu were purely in jest.
"My neck still hurts, it hurts so much that I cry, but I don't like to cry."
"Drink this, you've done a great service, Comrade Liang Manxiu. But we can't alert them now, so you'll have to stay with me for the time being. Tell everyone you slipped and need my help."
After hearing what she said, Liang Manxiu's eyes shone with an unprecedented light.
The light was so bright that even Qiao Wangshu felt it was dazzling.
noon.
Lu Guangzhi turned on the village loudspeaker and announced that every household should close their doors and windows, as a thief had been caught last night for stealing food and cured meat from Lai Pitou's house at the village entrance, and was now being held in the brigade office.
After the villagers learned about this, they quickly started discussing it.
Qiao Wangshu and Wang Liping were talking about this when they ate together at the educated youth settlement.
"With the end of the year approaching, there are bound to be many petty thieves, but luckily our grain is all locked up well."
"Well, let me tell you, I went to see Zhou Li today. That good-for-nothing made Manxiu take him home and then dragged her all the way, causing her to fall. Ugh, I'm so tired. If I had any strength, I would have beaten him up."
As she spoke, she kept an eye on Zhu Qiangying out of the corner of her eye. The latter concealed it well, but she still noticed her trembling fingers and flustered eyes.
