Chapter 89 Taking the Train to the Provincial Capital (2/2)

"We'll move when it's time to drive. According to our driving time this time, it should be another ten minutes."

Bai Ruoqiao took out the thermos, unscrewed the small water cup on top, and poured a cup of warm water, "Come on, drink some water first."

An An immediately sat up straight, holding onto the lid with his two little ears and drinking water in small sips.

The old man opposite who had been looking at him couldn't help but laugh.

Seeing Bai Ruoqiao looking over, he said, "You are so cute."

Bai Ruoqiao was stunned for a moment, then smiled at him politely, "Thank you."

The old man looked at An An, who was secretly glancing at him while drinking water, and his eyes fell on the back of his hand. He turned around and asked the two of them, "Are you also going to the provincial capital to watch the parade?"

"Yes." Zhao Sihai replied with a smile, "You too?"

"Haha, I guess so. I'll go see my grandson by the way. My grandson is about the same age as Xunlang. How old is Xunlang this year?"

"I'll be 18 years old during the Chinese New Year."

"That's the same age as my grandson. From your accent, it seems you're not from Qingyang. It sounds more like a northern accent."

"I didn't mean for you to hear it. My wife is from the north, and I've also lived in the north for a while, so my accent may be mixed up."

The old man was quite talkative and friendly, so the three of them started chatting casually.

Ten minutes later, the train whistle started.

An An was surprised and curious, so she leaned on the car window and wanted to follow the example of the person next to her and roll up the window, but unfortunately her mother wouldn't let her.

He could only lean against the glass and turn his head to look around curiously.

Soon, the train started moving with a clang.

An An was so excited that he jumped up and down, "It's moving, it's moving, the car is moving, Mom, Dad, the car is moving!"

The little guy's surprised and excited look immediately attracted friendly laughter from everyone around him.

"Wow, the trees can run, Ma, the trees and the houses, wow, and the mountains can run too!"

Without waiting for Bai Ruoqiao to explain to him.

He blinked again, and said in a daze, "Oh, that's it."

Bai Ruoqiao raised his eyebrows and knew that the system was contradicting him, so he just told him to speak in a low voice and not disturb others.

It was also a disguised hint for him.

An An finally reacted and subconsciously covered her mouth with both hands, then looked around nervously with her big eyes.

Everyone thought he was afraid of disturbing everyone and getting scolded.

A woman in the back seat smiled and said, "It's okay."

Then he added, "It's better for children to be lively. They look smart and clever."

Bai Ruoqiao thanked him with a smile, and then went back to chatting with the "neighbors".

An An continued to lean on the car window, but did not shout out anymore, just muttering something from time to time.

The sound was directly covered by the sound of chatting on the train and in the carriage, and no one else could hear it.

The old man opposite reached into his pocket, looking regretful, as he didn't bring any food with him and couldn't feed the baby.

But soon, as time passed, everyone began to close their eyes and fall asleep to the regular sound of the train.

An An also rubbed her eyes, nestled in Bai Ruoqiao's arms and began to doze off.

"You take a nap first." Zhao Sihai took out a corduroy blanket from his bag and handed it to her.

Bai Ruoqiao took the blanket, covered them both with it, and warned him, "Call me if anything happens."

"Yeah." Zhao Sihai nodded in agreement.

The train was so bumpy that she felt dizzy.

She tilted her head slightly, closed her eyes and began to think of various plans to divert her attention.

She thought she couldn't fall asleep, but before she knew it, she fell into a deep sleep and had a dream.

In her dream, she thought back to the day when the plane crashed.
